I just started a new file in HM: DS, and I decided to woo Celia. I\ve been giving her Flowers, Brooches, and Jewelery from the start of the game and she still has a black heart. I'm on Summer 24th, Year 1 and I only forgot to give her gifts on three days. I also triggered her black heart event, yet she still isn't liking me more. Halp!

Have you been throwing stuff on the ground? Have you lost animals? Those things make people like you less.

I've been throwing some things like weeds on the ground.. And the only animals I ever hurt were the chickens in the Mine.

You'll have to stop throwing the weeds on the ground now. I think that's what keeping characters from liking you.

...But then it was already discussed and fixed. Darn.

If you're in winter, hopefully you have the kitchen now? If so, try to give her Cake, her favorite item. Raising heart level takes a long time, in my opinion, so it's best to give the best items. And Cake isn't too difficult to make. Good luck!
