I want to link ds and cute to mineral town so I'm going to get either friends of mineral town or more friends of mineral town. Would you need to link the girl and boy versions to each other (cute to mfomt and ds to fomt) or could you link cute to fomt for example? Also, could you link the same gba game to both ds and cute?

You need to link FoMT to the boy version, but you can link either to the girl version. You can use the same copy of FoMT for both

I wasn't sure about this either at first. But I own MFoMT and both DS and Cute. I was able to link MFoMT to both. (I didn't think it would work, but Ann showed up on Friday in HMDS, so it must have.)
