Don't use the term "Jap", please. It's extremely derogatory and racist.

This. Not to mention that whole statement is rather racist. :/

Looking at the feedback, I probably won't get this game until the price has dropped, and people can figure out what to do.

Are the characters in-depth? They said they would be, but I'm not convinced.

Compared to HM or RF, yes, the 30 some special NPC's are in-depth. Each with their own little stories and cut-scenes. Some cut scenes are rather shocking to be honest. Overall they did a great job with that part of the game. They just needed a request log, better tutorial, less dependence on the 2:00-PM man, etc.

Currently I've been trying to get the last feather piece of my first blue feather for about two months. Done everything I can think of to trigger cut-scenes. Very frustrating and some help there would have been great.

This may sound like a really silly question...I read you have to get the Divine Protection before you can meet the Harvest « Harvest Goddess » and that you get it from Helena (if my info's wrong, please let me know), but how do you unlock Helena?????
Thanks!!!!!!!

She just walked into town one day when I stepped outside. It may be a timed event since she came pretty early in the game.

So I'm nearing 24 hours into this game. I'm stuck in a few different places.

Gotten to the point where Dexter asks me to stock the Flower Baby. Like I've read around, I keep it in my inventory and run around to the town entrance and plaza, nothing happens. How do I advance his quest line?

Also, I am on month 3 day 2, and for several days have had Ember walking into my store. I waited for a rainy day (FINALLY) so I could go to the ruins and get some fruit... 'cept no Harvest « Harvest Goddess ». Apparently I need to unlock Shinji, then the Harvest « Harvest Goddess » unlocks?

How the heck do I get Shinji to appear? (Playing female by the way.)

The Flower Baby you need to put on the shelf. He'll come in and buy it.

Not sure about Shinji. Have to picked up the mural fragment that's in the cave (on the ground in front of one of the broken murals)?

It took me a while to activate this one, I'm not really sure what makes it possible to trigger. You might need to trigger other events, or unlock other characters first. The weather conditions could also be affecting it.
Keep it in your inventory and keep visiting those places, and it should eventually activate.

Ahh... Just accidently read a major spoiler, and...
Spoiler:
...and... why, creators? How could you be so cruel...? On one hand, I really want to keep playing just so I can see what exactly happens, but on the other, I know it's going to be so sad when it finally does. ;~;

It completely floored me and it seemed like it just came out of no where. There are several scenes afterwards with other people following it as it gets worked into their stories as well. It does put the game on another level as far as the maturity of the game story line.

What is the spoiler? I don't mind being spoilt for this game. Even if the character are in depth, I don't have enough money to get it for a while.
From what you said...
Spoiler:
Does someone die?

Yeah, I'm curious too. I read a couple of things, but I want to know for sure.

Ok,
Spoiler:
Harvey, the young boy you help build a fort with is killed by monsters at night when he goes to see the stars. The scene includes showing his black coffin being carried in and his mother and sister in tears. Later scenes show his sister trying to reconcile with the thought that she was too tough on him and that it was her fault he was killed. The mother does her own soul seeking and you have a talk with her at night while she's looking at the stars near where Harvey was killed. Pretty deep stuff really.
