Heck yes! I loved Nami and Celia from AWL. Both such great girls! If I was a HM character, I think Celia would be my best friend.
Elli from FOMT was great too. Such a doll.
I also adore Dia from MM. She's so cute, she acts really shy and aloof but she's sweet when you get to know her.
I haven't yet or married any of the girls in AP, except for the Harvest Goddess, because I'm a weirdo. I love most of the girl's personalities, what I don't really like are all of the strange hairstyles and colours. There aren't any that I have developed a special fondness for yet. Though, I think when I play as a boy again I'll try for Renee or Luna because I love their kind and cheerful dispositions. Possibly Maya, because she's such a sweet girl... or Katie, but I'm not sure yet...

I'm not a girl but I generally prefer the dudes so ... [INTENSE SWEATING]
I like a lot of the girls, though! I mean, I haven't played a recent HM game in a while (since IoH oops) but generally I'll make a boy file and a girl file because I generally like at least one of the girls and want to marry her. uwu

Now, I'm a gay man, but I marry the girls more than the guys. I guess I'm picky with the guys. The only ones I truly care about marrying are Vaughn, Neil, and eventually Wizard and maybe Chase.

Simply put ? Totally.
The games usually have multiple save files, so I kind of divide my bachelors and batchelorettes evenly, although it depends on the characters. Some games have better boys, and some games have better girls. Some games have such poor choises that I end up marrying no one, and some games have too many cuties to even decide.
( I hate AP for its cute boys because I'm running out of save files if I ever want to marry the witch alongside with my favorite men. )
Though in the end for me it's about preferences of the personality. Since they're fictional characters their gender rarely tends to matter. Actually a bigger problem for me tends to be the design of the player characters, since I just can't bring myself to play a character with a design I dislike.
.. With that out of the way, I can't wait 'til RF4 to marry all them cute boys and girls with Lest, bless everyone for that. (●´∀`)ノ♡

I agree, as a guy i don't play as the girl MC(except for another wonderful life) so I do marry the bacheloretts. Reene from TOT is one of my favorites.

Ideally I like to create a save file for each gender, but due to my less than useless attention span, I often don't even finish my first playthrough.
I'll usually play as a female first, if there's the option. Though honestly I'll often end up regretting it upon realising how cute the girls are... ToTT being a prime example. I find some of the bachelors pretty dull, so it can be slim pickings for who I'd want to marry out of the men.
It really depends on the game's range of characters at the end of it.

Of course! Although, as people have already said, most HM players are straight girls, there are a few male players, and I actually have a few male friends who have at least played (although I'm not sure if they got far enough to marry anybody).
Personally, my first HM game was HMDS, so of course I played as a guy and married Celia. Recently, I've started making male files also, and in ANB I'm looking forward to my male file (but not to the horribly long intro and my first spring) because I sort of prefer the bachelorettes to the bachelors, although I just got the game and still have yet to unlock everyone in my female file.

I do marry the bachelorettes on my boy files, but I tend to wait and farm until all the girls are available to court, so I can figure out which one I like best for my boy file. ^^
But I like to get things done before marrying. Getting animals, getting more income of gold, having a good field to plant in, and of course having presents to give to them. :3

Somebody's a bit cranky today.
You obviously don't look around very much. At least on the forum, there almost is always BOTH twenty thousand favorite bachelor AND bachelorette polls. While I can see where you're getting this impression, I'm not going to repeat what basically everyone else has said about a majority of the people who play this game being girls. Typically young ones at that.
I myself try to play as both genders, but it really depends for me on who I like since I try to read the short little excerpt on the marriage candidates before actually playing the games so I can figure out who tickles my fancy more, regardless of gender. Like when I first got MM, I totally fell in love with Gwen right away, so I played as a boy the first time through. But in SI, I really liked Vaughn so I played as a girl. Then I played as a boy because Julia was a total princess. So really it just depends on who has the best personality to me and cutest design. Sometimes it's a boy and sometimes it's a girl, just depends.

If a girl really appeals to me, I will have a son, and have my son marry that girl in the new game +. For instance, I'm either going to marry Leon or Dylas in RF4, and I'm debating on who to send my son to... I really like Xian, but Amber is SO cute~

I usually play as a girl and go after the boys, but also make friends with the girls. Then I'll usually play the opposite after I'm done with my girl file.

I don't usually play as a guy in hm/rf unless I have to, but I still have my favorite bachelorettes. Like in RF4 if I ever played as a guy on another file (kinda doubt it though since I don't want to start over...) I'd marry Xiao Pai hands down... Forte is also pretty cool. In Hm though I liked Celia, Lumina, Ann, Popuri... and many others.

I like playing the games as both boy and girl. In fact it kinds of turns me off a game when I don't have the choice to play both. Its just fun to learn what each character is like in a relationship and I'm not going to lie, I like seeing what they give as presents and how they act when they have full hearts. They're all so cute

I'm a girl but I tend to play as a boy and marry the bachelorettes more often than I play as a girl and marry the guys.
I tend to be more interested in the girls as there's usually one or two that I fall in love with, while I'm not.... nearly as interested in the guys usually. Idk, the guys usually just... idk...
But, I like playing as a girl most of the time, so if I could play as a girl and marry the bachelorettes, I totally would.
