Looks like they confirmed kids in their recent kickstarter update.

^ I love the sick idea and even don't mind the extra tool upgrades, especially if some of them do really cool stuff, but the weather system in Sunshine Island was why I didn't finish it and traded it in. It just got to be a hassle to worry so much over how weather affected the crops when I had so many other things to focus on. Though I'm sure plenty of other people would agree with you that the weather system was a great feature. ^^Thor555 wrote:Thank you guys so much for working on this game, though I have one suggestion no one has mentioned yet, weather. I think the weather should be like harvest moon sunshine islands weather, heavy rain, light rain, thunderstorms, typhoons, cloudy days, clear days and hot days, and of course blizzards and light snow, heavy snow. All these different weathers should effect your crops and health, and the villagers. I also think you should get sick and have to stay in for the day like hm64 if you catch a cold or something. I also like how many tool levels there are in harvest moon fomt so I hope you have lots of tools levels that are for more veteran players to unlock. I suggest you should look at some of HM animal parade's content because it has lots of cool features that could go in this game. (Like their pet system) I wish you guys luck! (Sorry I typed so much)
Great Idea! Thats what I loved in HM64 when one of the girls came and took care of you, and I don't think the weather should effect most events hopefully.Mecha-Lollipop wrote:^ I love the sick idea and even don't mind the extra tool upgrades, especially if some of them do really cool stuff, but the weather system in Sunshine Island was why I didn't finish it and traded it in. On the topic of weather, I really hope not too many events are day AND weather specific. Sometimes with that it takes weeks or months to get things set correctly just to finish one event.
Edit: I just had a thought right after I posted this! It would be really cute if, when you got sick, the person in the village you had the highest friendship with came over and took care of you.
It could be like Rune factory 4's weather system, it didn't mess with your crops as much as sunshine islands and it was more than just sunny, rain and storm. Foggy weather would be nice too.Thor555 wrote:Thanks for the reply, I just hate how some harvest moon games had only three types of weather: sunny, rain and storm, that felt overly simple and boring, and I think advanced weather would make the farming more than just water and done. I also hope they have different types of soils like animal parade.
Good idea, but I like sunshine island's the best, and I hope you can get drunk at the bar that would be funny, also I liked how you could wash your animals in HM gbc 3 so that would be another awesome feature.Mario64 wrote:It could be like Rune factory 4's weather system, it didn't mess with your crops as much as sunshine islands and it was more than just sunny, rain and storm. That's one thing I didn't like about those HM games myself. While I won't deny it can be more realistic, the ways to deal with the weather were anything but realistic, so it ended up just adding complexity to the game just for complexity's sake. I grew up on a very large farm/ranch in Colorado and believe me if we had to deal with the issues that are dealt with in those HM games there would be no food in America. They just went overboard with it.Thor555 wrote:Thanks for the reply, I just hate how some harvest moon games had only three types of weather: sunny, rain and storm, that felt overly simple and boring, and I think advanced weather would make the farming more than just water and done. Thank you for the reply! I just think simple farming from the early games is too simple, a little challenge would spice up the farming aspect, I mean the farm is the most important part. I loved animal parade and sunshine islands because it felt more advance than the boring same soil same three simple weathers. I agree with Mario 64 at least, rune factory 4 had sunshine island's different weathers but it didn't majorly affect your crops. Do you at-least agree that it should be more than sunny, rainy, and storm? I hope you can get sick too.LeBurns wrote:That's one thing I didn't like about those HM games myself. Besides, there are games out there that are pure farm management games, if that's what I wanted, that's what I would play. I generally play the HM/RF games for the social aspect of them. The farming, mining, upgrading, etc. are just things to do to pass the time, move the story along, etc. I really don't want to have to think too hard on those things as I don't think they are particularly fun.
^This. Just like in animal crossing one of your villager friends would give you medicine if you had a black eye from a bee stingMecha-Lollipop wrote: Edit: I just had a thought right after I posted this! What do you think of my ideas?Samurott wrote:^This.
