I know that all the town events are completely random, including the romance-related events, and I know that there isn't any sure way to trigger them, or even improve the odds of them happening. But can anyone give me an estimate of around how long it took them/normally takes to trigger events and stuff? Specifically confession events, but I'll settle for anything at this point. I've been trying for a whole year in game trying to get Dylas confession event, and for around 2.5 seasons for the event to start Arc 3. And I've gone at least two IRL weeks of play time with no town events at all. I'd really like to continue the game, but I'm basically just waiting for events to trigger so that I can experience new things and have something to do/look forward to other than more slightly monotonous dungeon grinding and crop-tending, and it's getting so boring I'm about ready to just give up on the game completely. I know every one's experience is different because of the randomness, and I'm not looking for hard and fast "rules". Just an idea of others' experiences so I can put my own into perspective and stave off agitation.

Are you doing the sleeping trick? Or are you just playing the game normally?
If you are sleeping and you've gone that long without triggering an event, stop sleeping and make sure to talk to everyone in town.
From the OP (please read it if you haven't, it should answer a lot of your questions): "If I've slept like 7-14ish days and nothing has happened, I do one of two things: resetting and trying again OR going and talking to all of the townspeople. What happens is that sub-events don't usually show up in your diary (town events) sections until you actually go and talk to the townspeople, so you've probably triggered an event but don't know it yet. (Meaning that if you have Leon in your group and another event triggers, he won't leave because he's not a part of it). Also, sometimes there are mini-sub events that will NOT show up in your log, but you'll have to enter buildings/walk around town to activate them, so be sure to try that too. Make sure to talk to Margaret (as Frey) and Doug (as Lest) to make sure they aren't inviting you to a sleepover event that night. This works for ALL sub-events, not just ones needed for romances."
It's taken me well up to 2 years in-game to get married before. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower.

It's random. Sleep with her in your party until she has to leave.
Also, you should read the first post. It's super useful and explains the sleeping trick with more details.

Any marriage candidate you're dating has a line they'll say when they see you talking to or in a group with another marriage candidate (even if you're not dating the other one), but no one's LP takes a hit. Kinda sad, actually; I think it'd be more realistic if they got upset at you, but apparently, in the world of Rune Factory, monogamy only counts during marriage. After marriage, there's a small bit of jealousy dialogue that'll activate if you try to confess your love to someone else, but that's it.

I've tried both at various points. Usually I'll try the sleeping trick for a while, get bored with it or have to go longer than I'm comfortable with before anything triggers, and then try just playing the game normally for a while. When I play normally, I generally talk to every person in town and enter each of the major buildings at least once each day just in case I've started an event without realizing it. I've actually managed to trigger some of the girls' events here and there, which I know helps in the long run if only because then there are fewer scenes left to be randomized, just oddly nothing for any of the bachelors. All the events are interesting, and I'm pleased when I manage to trigger any of them, it's just frustrating waiting so long to advance in the game. I have done the sleeping trick in the past with fairly little success - either nothing will trigger for longer than I'm comfortable with, or only events the person with me isn't a part of - but I suppose I'll try it again. Good to know it isn't that unusual for it to take a really long time, though. It makes me feel a little better about the wait, at least.

^I can't speak for Doug but both Arthur and Vishie are very romantic. I suppose Vishie is more naive and easier to tease while Arthur is more mature.
I was wondering... You know in Dylas' reverse proposal event when you accept he talks about his past.... What happens if you marry him in the first plot? Then it'd be like... "Ventis my only friend", to
"Is that dragon alright?"
Yeah I was just wondering. I'll be quiet now. *goes back to sleep*

You actually can't marry him during the first plot. You can only marry the "animal characters" when you start the second plot or get in the middle of the second plot.

Doug has his moments, but he's more casual than romantic. Like, he doesn't go out of his way to be the world's most amazing boyfriend, but he makes an effort to be a good one. (And he will beat you to just about anything you try while on a date.)

I've personally enjoyed Doug's events very much. He seems very realistic to me.
Serpent is right, though, he's less stereotypically romantic than the others. I like him because he seems like someone I would actually date in real life

My sister was laughing at me because of how many times I've had to reset my ds trying to get either Vishnal or Kiel' s love events. And still failing. How fun. She's married to Leon and it took her 8 hours of resetting to get his events, so she has no pity. I love the game, and the events, but it's annoying to have all these totally random cutscenes.

I'm sorry for what's happening in your file but your description of that event made me laugh so hard. May you never change. To stay on topic, sorta I guess, totally having this random event problem with Vishnal too. Though I don't really mind, I like just running around. I just want to say thanks to the people helping OP and OP themselves. At least I know what I'm waiting on for Vishnal now and will probably return if I do have any questions. Thanks again!
