I remembered that as well. I thought Gannon's wife just didn't come to the island.

On the guide for Sunshine Island it says this on Gannon's profile:

Gannon is raising his daughter Eliza on his own after his wife died.

Can't see anything about Regis' wife.. maybe it was apart of his dialogue, but I swear he said she left coz he works too much xD EDIT: Oh I found it was from an event in Sunshine Islands!

Sabrina cruely reminds her father that the reason mother left him was because he cares more about his company than he did his wife.

So yeah, in conclusion there has been divorce in Harvest Moon games before.. This is the first mention of a second marriage though! Usually its one marriage per person lol.. Oh wait Jin in ToT/AP was a widower wasn't he?

No. The villager Gaizer is married to Kuron, who is his second wife. He was married to another woman before but divorced her.

Yea, that sound very mature/dark for a Harvest Moon game. Usually everyone live "normal" happy lives in Harvest Moon.
