I like them both but I chose Pony because I liked seeing Pony in a new style. Claire didn't seem as exciting because she looks the same as she does in MFoMT.
I chose Pony in my first play through and Claire in my second. I like Claire because I played as her in MFoMT and I like the idea of bringing her into a new game. I haven't played AWL so I didn't have the same feeling with her as I did with Claire.
Plus I have blonde hair like Claire so it was a bit easier to insert myself into the game..

I really like both characters. Especially Pony's durpy and gleeful expression in AnWL lol.
Oh, I definitely prefer Claire. I find both of them cute and awesome MCs. But I played DS Cute, and without looking up answers to the quiz, or really knowing anything about the games either of them were in, I got Claire. Loved her just a little more than Pony ever since.
(Btw, I always thought Pony's name was Jill? I'm confused now)
Definitely Pony. Her sass in AnWL won me over, and in DS the greatness just continued. I also probably have a bias since AWL was my first HM game and AnWL is almost the same thing.
