How is everyone enjoying X and Y?

I always tip 1000 or more (whatever is the highest, it can be really high for restaurants like 10,000 or more??) and I've still yet to encounter a single shiny so I'll be mad if that's true. I honestly don't know what tipping does...

I am loving this game!! And the thing I love most is the Wonder Trades. I have gotten sooooo many awesome Pokemon from that.... OK, so my team:

I may have asked already, but does anyone know at what point in game you get access to the poketransfer? And can you put pokemon from x/y into it? I'd like to do a second run but keep what I had in this file

Poke Transfer in this game will be done by the Pokemon Bank/Pokemon Transporter app which (in NA at least) won't be released until December. And it supports transfers from B/W, B2/W2, and X/Y.

One of my friends used Frufrou as one of his main pokemon (we were battling.)

THAT THING HAS MAJOR DEFENSE.
My Venusaur [which I named Mama Emerald, because she made a lot of Bulbasaurs because I want a shiny one soo bad. It was only right for her name to change to 'Mama'. she is a defensive wall, and quite fast too!] used Double Edge and it barely did a thing.

But I think it's because he uses the Super Training more than I do. :3

My team is Frogadier, Snorlax, Pikachu (waiting to get thunderbolt to evolve), and Skiddo.
I'm at... I've beaten the few grunts before the stonehenge -esque town.
I'm so weak ;__; ~26 on all 4.
