So, I recently picked this game up after some time and got addicted to it.
But I am wondering what are your tips for equipping wonderful stones? What combinations work best on which tools?
For instance: I imagine green with orange is best on hoe or hammer for mining (still have zero of those so I don;t really venture beyond level 25 in the mine. It's pointless without a green wonderful at least one or two... and I really want to go deeper.
red and blue work well on watering can, hoe, sickle
I am thinking of eventually equipping my watering can with 4reds and 2 blues provided I can ever get an indigo first to increase the slots... Would that work well?
Is there any reason why I would want to equi the range widening/lengthening stones on animal tools such as milker? I don't imagine you can milk a cow from a distance? 0.0
Would appreciate some thoughts, thanks in advance.
best combinations of wonderful stones?

I say a "orange " is very useful for every tool. I have over 20 wonderful stones but no green ones. I have mostly blue and red I have 2 orange ones about 4 yellow ones 2 indigo. I use 2 red and 1 blue and 2 orange in my watering can.

Thanks for the tip
For the moment my set-up looks like this
watering can- 2x red, 1xblue
hammer - 1x orange
axe 1xorange (alternately add it to hammer but I need to collect lumber for upgrades) 1xyellow, 1xpurple
hoe 1.x yellow for rice paddy 1x blue 1xred
sickle 1xblue 1xyellow for grains
brush 3xyellow
I have an extra yellow wonderful but I don't know what to do with it it. I guess I can add one more to the brush for future animals.
I just keep winning only red, yellow and blue ones in festivals. :S

I would put 2 yellow in your hammer and axe
that will remove the big rocks and stumps on your crop field.

I just did that and for now I'll clear the smooth big boulders. Although a typhoon hid and the the other type of boulder smashed some of my onions!!! :S I love it when they land right in the middle of my field. Ah well.
Thanks, Shan
One more unrelated question. Does it matter how fresh golden lumber is? My monkeys have just brought me some and I am wondering. I haven't planted any fruit tress yet as I hav e no bridge to the fruit island but I need to deal with some other upgrades first. So I guess I"m just wonderinf if the freshness of gold lumber matters? My cabinet is stone and I noticed that once you put everything 100% fresh into it, it always goes down half a dot. So if it continues to rot until 7 stars and THEN I decide to use it for a fence for a fruit tree, will its low freshness cause it to break in a typhoon or something? I heard gold lumber can't break but...
