I'm so happy. ;u;
Me too! I've seen that one of the skin colours is like, exactly my shade of brown. Super stoked to customise to my heart's content.

Could be wrong though.
Ah, I see. Thanks for informing me!

I just asked this question to XSEED because I know some words can be offensive to different cultures and languages so I'm trying to find out if they know yet.

Exactly! I just need to have a good curly hairstyle for my character then I can have me in the game! Hehehe! ^_^

I'm a bit late to the party but I've just decided to get the game recently (I have to save up etc.) and I hear a lot about XSeed. What's the difference between them and the others in terms of translation?

@Diamond
A quick summary, since the thread about XSEED taking over SoS has pages and pages of people expressing why XSEED is a huge relief to the series and the fans.
XSEED is known to keep the text very similar to the original and they don't censor things to keep the games "kid-friendly", as Natsume has in the past few years. Even on their twitter/Hatsuu's tumblr/other social media they have confirmed that the translation will stay as true to the original as possible, and it seems that they are working closely with the BM developers on this project.
Secondly, this isn't so much about just the translation, but XSEED is very good about keeping fans updated and letting them know what's going on. During RF4 translation, for example, we got updates during the whole VA recording process, and sometimes got screenshots from the game, as well as Hatsuu answering questions on her tumblr.
All in all, XSEED has really great people in it and we should be excited to see what they can do with SoS.

So I asked XSEED about the whole censorship part of certain words that can be offensive in other cultures and languages and this is the response I got.

This is great news then! I'm excited to see the difference in gaming experience, in terms of textual content

Thanks! :D Figured it would be easier to just be able to link to it if people have questions since information is alllll over the place on this forum.
Also, if anyone has ever wanted to know more about game localizations pleaseeeee read this post by Hatsuu (it's mainly using RF4 as an example because people were really up in arms over why it got delayed)
http://hatsuu.tumblr.com/post/554017742 ... to-publish it's so incredibly interesting to see all of the hassle and logistics that go into localization work. It's not just as easy as "translation" like a lot of people think.

Sorry my Katakana sucks and I don't know what the second one actually translate too in English, Sorry. ^^;; If you can show with dark skin, dark eyes, and ebony colored hair. ^_^
Here you go.
.
Thank you so much Syvle! This was really kind of you! I think the pigtails look better. The long perm is not as curly and wavy as I thought. I'm gonna have to pester you a bit more nut are there any other curly hairstyles? I can't really make out the texture in some of the pics on the guide pic. Not the afro though it's more puffy and kinky than curly. It's cute though! ^_^
Well, there“s the 'Medium Perm' one (2nd pic). But, if you want a longer variation...I think your best bet is probably the ANB Felicity style hair that you can have whenever you wear the Maid Hairband (1st pic).

The character style is quite MySims Kingdom-ish isn't it?

Really? To me it seems like ever since Yoshifumi Hashimoto took over producing the BokuMono games as well as Rune Factory, that the art style of BokuMono is slowly becoming more like that of Rune Factory, but less slender and more bright. MySims (Kingdom is the best!) games have a much smoother, simpler, pure geometric look to me.
I look at things funny, though. No less than 5 art teachers told me so. :/

I don't really see it that way. The characters are much less... square.
On a different note, they are much cuter then they were in ANB! I swear, those things made me want to throw up every time I saw them close up.

Eh I can the My Sims Kingdom look but it does look better, like Strawberries said, less boxy. I find both cute though so no complaints here~

Definitely looks better than MS:K but it has that particular strain of cutesy about it. Definitely the spriting's come on a lot, Strawberries.
