End game?

I'm wondering what people do after they hit their goals or major milestones in the game. Or in other words, what is the end game?

I guess for most people, the aim of the game is to get married, unlock all the sprites, get the vacation villa, etc... But what do you do after you have acheived all that?

A little over a month ago, I started a new game. I'm now in Year 2 Spring 30, have over 9 million gold (most of which was earned during Year 2 Spring), pretty much upgraded everything (but haven't got the vacation villa yet, but can very easily raise the funds to buy it when the time comes), and I'm working on wooing Celia and Flora for the hot spring. I don't really care too much about finding all the sprites or completing the shipping list, or other similar tedious tasks. I'm guessing I would've reached my goals within Year 3-4.

I suppose I could get back to playing Island of Happiness when I am done with HM DS? But I was never too fond of the new 3D style of Harvest Moon and the over reliance on the stylus and touch screen.

Off topic: I'm currently working on a website-based farm planner for HM DS. I'm new to HTML5 and Javascript so it has been an interesting experience, and the site is slowly getting there.

Some people try and see all random events and get max fp with all the villagers.

I usually play Harvest Moon games until I have married, had a child, and hit the in game goals that the games about. Such as getting the best Bazaar in Harvest Moon - Grand Bazaar.

In Harvest Moon DS, my goals were to collect enough sprites to be able to wed, and then have a child. I have been real addicted to this game for the past couple weeks due to picking up a new copy. I just reached my goals of marriage, and now working towards having a child.

I am in Fall year two or something like that, got married in Summer year 2.

You should reach the bottom of all four mines and collect all mine items.
The fourth one will take some work and time to clear.

Yah I haven't played in months. I was trying to unlock almost all the sprites but it's not worth it man.

I got married and had a kid, she hasn't grown up, but she'd probably only get more boring as she aged anyway.

I loved mining in this game. Once I unlocked everything (except completing the 4th mine, screw that) I felt kinda deprived lol.
I was trying to get a lot of Farm Degree points to unlock the final outfit(s) but that was taking forever too.

Mining is pretty much the only thing I do in HM6 anymore. Even though I've only unlocked 91 of the 101 Harvest Sprites, I don't feel any motivation to find the rest. My child isn't fully grown either, but it isn't like anything particularly exciting happens when they do finally grow up. I don't know, I just only feel motivated to grow giant turnips and mine. What's nice about Harvest Moon though is that you can pick it back up at any time and not miss a thing, so I'm sure in due time I'll snag those final ten Harvest Sprites.
