Can't get Tunnel/Expansion request, only getting child?

Hi all, I need some help.

I'm in Konohana, married to Kana. I have been irritably waiting for another farm expansion request, because I only have the 1st field expansion, and have had 2 of the tunnel repair. I have all of the Mayor Hearts full.

I've been psyched to get either the 3rd tunnel repair so I stop having to ride up and down the mountain, or the next field expansion so I can start growing more crops.

Instead Eileen is only offering me the Child request! I do not want the child request, is there anything I can do to get the Tunnel repair or field request? I really don't want to blown 1mil on a useless request, especially since I plan on moving to Bluebell as soon as my fields are expanded, before sinking money into house upgrades.

Help please!

Uggh, so there is no way to avoid wasting the 1mil?

Also - Will she only give me 1 request per season, even if I complete this one? Like, this season she will give me the child bed, and then not give me any others including the construction requests, and then next season give me the house upgrade, so that it could be 3 seasons before I get that dang tunnel open?

You can't move when your pregnant, after completing the Child Bed request and triggering the pregnancy event you'll have to wait until the baby is born before you can move to Bluebell. Also, don't quote me on this but I think you have to wait until the end of the next season before you can move back.

If you move to bluebell you'll still have to wait the next season to do any request.

So

You can't move when your pregnant, after completing the Child Bed request and triggering the pregnancy event you'll have to wait until the baby is born before you can move to Bluebell. Also, don't quote me on this but I think you have to wait until the end of the next season before you can move back.

But I could still move back if I needed to, right?

Well, since pregnancy doesn't happen until 31 days after the bed is received, I could still move this season, right? I didn't get the bed until 5ish days into the season.

So my options are: move to Bluebell and stay there for minimum 2 seasons, maximum 3 seasons, so I can spend the 1 mil there on the eventual house upgrade, then move back until I have maxed out all my fields and are ready for the permanent move to Bluebell.

OR

Stay in Konohana and eat the 1 mil pricetag. That's a looooooooot of grinding toast and porridge, and makes for a really boring game. What would you all do?

You can still move back, but you can only move near the end of each season (I think it's 27th-31st of each season...?) If you talked to Ina/Rutger on any other day they would just say you can only move on the 27th, 28th,30th,31st of each season. You can move to Bluebell and trigger the pregnancy event there,yes.

I think moving to Bluebell permanently would be the best option, just make sure you've unlocked the Fish Pond, Paddy field, and maker sheds in Konohana first. I really wouldn't bother with fields though, since Bluebell farm has a decent amount of space for growing crops AND you can upgrade the Animal Barn and Chicken Coop, which in case you haven't already noticed, you can't in Konohana. So you would make the most profit in Bluebell.

Right, that's my eventual plan, move to Bluebell after I've unlocked the special features at Konohana. But I'm already stuck getting the pregnancy requests out of the way before it will give me the Tunnel or a farm expansion, so I don't have a lot of options.

At any rate, I read that if you move to a non-upgraded house you have to pay a 1.5mil fee to upgrade the other house, so I am screwed either way. Even if I moved to Bluebell now to have the pregnancy, I'd still have to pay the 1.5mil penalty when I moved back to Konohana in order to get the rice paddy and seed maker expansions.

You have to buy the bed before getting any other expansions BUT you won't get pregnant from just having the bed. The pregnancy event needs you to have a Remodel S expansion for your house, otherwise it won't trigger. If you don't desperately need the baby now just buy the bed in Konohana. One season later Eileen will continue to post the tunnel requests, if you don't have the requirements for those there will be farm expansion requests. When you get to the point where you want to have the child you just pick a farm expansion request and activate the Remodel S expansion to trigger the pregnancy event.

The house remodel requests won't be forced on you. It's your choice if you want to spend the money now and have the child or wait.

Sorry for the confusion! Basically, I was irritated that Eileen had started giving me Child-related Seasonal Requests when I wanted her to give me Tunnel or Field Expansion requests.

Since she only gives 1 request per season, and won't give a different request if I refuse to do the one she gives, I am stuck with the bed > house requests until I get them out of the way so she can start giving me the "good" requests again.

As I just said, you are NOT stuck. You have to do the bed request but not the house expansion to go on with the tunnel expansions ^^ When you bought the bed she'll offer the "normal" requests again.
