6 character limit for names, yes.
chrononeko wrote:And is there a definitive list of how many animals we can have of each type?
8 animals per livestock barn, 8 chickens + 2 rabbits per poultry barn. Your choice of livestock animal combinations is up to you.
fishanonymous wrote:Can anyone tell me what sort of time system the game uses? Like, do the days go by as aggravatingly fast as they did in anb?
The game is the standard 1 in-game minute = 1 real-life second.

thank you! so if you don't have rabbits, you can't have 10 chicken? (I will have rabbits though I can't see why not), and it's been awhile since I played ANB but was the livestock barn 8 then I thought it was 10? Maybe I'm crazy.

Do we still get 3 barns/coops like last time, though? Or more/less? Please don't tell me just one of each, I will cry!

How is the frame rate for this game compared to ANB?

Are clothes done by outfits or can you switch up tops and bottoms (shirts and shorts/pants)?

In this stream (may have been answered before) is there a wardrobe for clothes you already bought or do you always have to go to a shop again?/ Is there a choice later in the game at all?

You have a dressing room inside your house after you have upgraded it to the second extension iirc. So, you don't have to go anywhere to change your style! Everything can be done in your home/farm.

How exactly does the competing for more land work? Is the land protected once you've won it?

For most of the time, you make the clothes and accessories yourself. Some of the materials you can buy are not expensive at all, ranging around 3000 G. The blueprints are also under reasonable price. The most expensive cloth related stuff that I have bought are the Penguin Suit and Golden Pearl for 50000G. I will assure you that aking clothes are definitely much easier here than ANB.

Cher have posted some info about it here. The land is not protected after you've gained access to it. Other farmers can challenge you or give offer to take over your land for some sum of money after your land contract have expired. But, as long as you re-new your contract as soon as it expires, you can avoid those situations. It's much simpler and easier than it sounds, really.

Ah, thanks for the information Syvle! Good to know that outfits are fairly easy to obtain.

Agree with you there Ida. It's all come together to be really nice as well; as far as I've seen the clothes are really cute. Even better that they're easy to get a hold of.

I haven't had any framerate issues like I have on rare occasions in ANB, nor any random lag whe entering houses, but I also haven't played a ton so I can't say for sure that there aren't any.

The only lag I have run in to is when trying to harvest a foregable item that is not large enough, it does take about two to three seconds for it to say it is not grown (similar to how in ANB it takes a few seconds to say the stump is empty when trying to harvest it).

I tried to read and find the answer to my question but I couldn't find it and got impatient >< sorry if it was already asked!

Q: I've seen a lot of people say that you can no longer move the villager's houses around and edit the town. Does this mean any edit? Can we still place flowers or fountains? Or chop down trees? Or is it totally off limits?

The town is a set structure so you can't move people's houses anymore, but there are small areas that need developed. You can place anything you like as long as it's not farm buildings. It seems to be opening up slowly, first area I got was really small but now I've got a huge square to develop.

The area is really limited and you can only edit one at a time. So if you want to use the bush from another area you have to run over, edit that, then go back to the area you want to use.

Good point though, no trees will randomly grow in town so you don't have to worry about trees ruining your design like in ANB. Villagers and visitors seem to comment about the decoration so I think it helps with your town.
