The exact requirements for each trader can be found on Cher's guide right here.applesnraisins wrote:Q: I've shipped plenty of items in my game, and definitely passed the ~10k gold earned mark through shipping. You can. It should unlock in hte antique store after you get a pet.Blue Leafeon wrote:Great, thanks! I tried to play with my cat indoors and it told me no, so I guess that's why. I'll do it outdoors next time.SukitheFallen wrote:There's no need for that anymore. You can do that on your farm.Blue Leafeon wrote:Where can I play with my cat using the cat bell? Please tell me I don't have to walk the cat ALL THE WAY to the trade station like in ANB. -_-
Also, I'm guessing you can't keep a pet inside your house like in ANB? I haven't seen any blueprints for pet feeders for the house.

The bookcase says trees appear a few days after being cut down, iirc, abd boulders may appear after bad weather (which I presume means a storm).SilverStar wrote:Does anyone know how often the boulders and trees re spawn on your fields? I've mined all the boulders, and am waiting for more to arrive so I can get more stone.
My guess is that your farm has a max number of trees and when you cut one down a timer starts for another to come up. OFC this is just entirely guesswork. Either that or it is like ANB and fairly random spawns, but the bookcase didn't make it seem like it was entirely random (or as random as game RNGs can get anyway).

from http://mariethecrocheter.tumblr.com/tagged/animals:
Wild Rabbit (all colours): Carrot, fodder
Panda: Bamboo
Weasel (all colours): Gold eggs, from any type of chicken
Sparrow (all colours): Corn
Tanuki (or raccoon if you’d prefer; all colours): Normal eggs and gold eggs, from all types of chickens
Fox (all colours): All produce harvested from a tree. Fruits, olives, almonds, they love them all.
Boar (all colours): Yam, gold yam, bamboo sprout, truffle
Monkey (all colours): All tree produce
Parrot (all colours): Corn
White Sifaka: All tree produce
Bear (all colours): Honey, salmon, and a fish called “keiji” whose English name I don’t know. It’s a really rare fish that you can catch in the pond on Edda’s/your farm on days when the weather is bad. It’s reaaaallly rare and requires the upgraded fishing rod.
Polar bear: Giant perch, tuna, giant snakehead, marlin, ice
Penguin: Sardines, char, tiny char
Duck (all colours): Cabbage, cucumber, corn, bok choy
Turtle: All shellfish
Shoebill: Catfish

I feel stupid for asking this question but...
What is the point of conquests?
I think I don't exactly understand it...
Like is there any consequences if I don't really do anything with the field I rented?
I am still at the beginning of the game (early summer, year 1) and I didn't do much with it because I didn't have enough money to purchase crops and plant them in the rented field.
Is there any suggestions you guys might have about the conquest thing or about what to do with them?

ahh this happened to me as well. I got the grain field but i don't have the proper crops so it has yet to be touched. i haven't been penalized for it though, i'm just waiting out it's lease and then i'll put it back on the conquest market lolAnonymous Fish wrote:I feel stupid for asking this question but...

the point would be for instance is you didn't have enough space for wheat on your farm. you would use that wheat farm as an extension of your actual farm. or like trees - if you don't have enough space for trees than take the orchard field.
but some things you can't have on your farm, like the paddy. the only way to grow things like the lotus and rice is to have that field, which you have to conquest for (right now, i have to wait for Elise's 80 day lease is up before i can challenge her for it).

The conquests just give you access to the public fields and allow you to grow certain crops on them or raise bees/mushrooms. You don't have to get any really, but you'll be severely lacking in reputation points with the other farmers, which you need to date Elise. If you get a field and never use it, there's no consequences.
I would at least get the Honey/Mushroom, Tall Crops, and Paddy Fields, if nothing else. As long as you keep renewing your lease at the guild, you could potentially keep them forever.
