The rod fishing spots froze in Winter

When do they melt? It's sunny and they're still frozen. ;;v;; where do I catch fish during Winter, then?

If you want to fishing with rod just break the ice with your hammer, you can't bare handed fishing in the winter though ._.

Just be sure not to stand on the spots that you're hammering. The game will have no qualms about sending you into the water. It only has the same effect as jumping into the water normally would, but still. Keep that in mind.
