Bioware Games Thread - Always waiting

Been playing F4 and it's been fun!! Originally I was struggling cause I couldn't figure out how to get out of first person POV and it gave me such a headache. And then there is the whole not knowing anything about the series and didn't know how valuable stimpaks were and how the perks system work.

But it's better ~slightly~ now and I'm on crybaby easy mode to give myself less of a headache. Still always scrambling for ammo but so far it's not too bad. I love the building/base stuff even if I'm horrible at designing it's fun.

Fave companion so far is codsworth and dogmeat. Felt so bad when I had the dog stay behind. ;;

I got Fallout 3 GotY Edition today while I was at GameStop preordering the stuff from the Nintendo Direct and picking up Animal Crossing amiibo Festival. I went through the prologue and I liked it a lot better than Skyrim and Oblivion combined. I don't know why; maybe it's because the prologue hooked me right in. I hate Butch and the Overseer and love Amata and my character's dad. Since he doesn't speak I just named him after me and made with dark blue hair. I'll definitely be playing it after my DAI playthrough.

Edit: Yeah, after the prologue I just ended up not liking it. My boyfriend and I have a deal now where he'll play Bethesda games for me and I'll play BioWare games for him (Currently that's just Dragon Age as he has yet to fully try Mass Effect out)

Edit 2: I'm finally moving on with the story after finishing 5 areas completely minus the locations, shards, star maps, monuments and some dragons (unless it specifically calls for a dragon to be killed in a side quest or it is needed for the trophies I won't fight it.) I finished the Hinterlands, the Storm Coast, the Fallow Mire, the Exalted Plains and the Western Approach. I'm level 17 already and I'm going to Halamshiral first and then onward to helping Hawke and Crestwood. I also now have 5/8 of the trials trophies; the Trial of the Empress is done along with Trial of the Lovers after just now starting Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts.

I have also been playing Fallout 4 and am new to the franchise. It's amazing! I'm so into it. I can't wait to get off of work just so I can go home and do more quests. My sanctuary is pretty dope, I cleaned it up and it still needs some fixing up but its considerably better than it was :]

Nice Ida! I haven't been playing it for the last few days, but D has and he looooves it. I really like the building aspect of the game :D I've seen some super cool sanctuaries posted around the 'net!

I wish I liked it; it seems so fun, but then I get my hands on it and I find it average. Good thing my boyfriend likes Bethesda games a lot and he's agreed to play them for me.

So I only have ONE trial trophy left and it's the grizzly end trial one! I also have finished Emerald Graves and Emprise Du Lion, so all I have left are three more main quests, four more companion quests, Jaws of Hakkon, Descent and Trespasser. I am level 22.

Edit: I GOT IT! All of the trial trophies are mine! I've also decided to skip Jaws and Descent; I forgot how much I didn't like them compared to Trespasser; Trespasser is all I need. I am now level 23 after finishing up every companion quest now and ready to move on to What Pride Had Wrought.

Edit 2: I now finished What Pride Had Wrought and now it's time for the most painful scene for all Solasmancers in the base game.

Edit 3: So before I finish the game and then move on to Trespasser I'm going to try and get

Bull and Dorian to hook up. I also tried romancing Cullen after Solas had broken up with me and it is impossible, apparently. Even after Solas has broken up with the Inquisitor it seems to still lock you into the romance. Makes sense, I guess.

who is Divine in my canon. I've narrowed it down to softened Leliana and Vivienne. Leliana because I like her changes to the Chantry; it NEEDED those changed. Vivienne because there'll be peace between the Circle and the College. I'm leaning more towards Leliana though because the Circle will still be around regardless and maybe peace can still be achieved.

who should drink from the well. On one hand the Inquisitor will be linked to Solas because of the power (at least that's my interpretation). On the other hand Morrigan gets the knowledge that Flemeth always wanted to give her.

Got some quests done and met Paladin Danse and he seems ok but idk about the Brotherhood of Steel. Tried to take back the Castle and the queen critter is giving me a hard time so I'm gonna grind + get more companions/equipment/goodies until then. I think I messed up my perk system thing, at least initially. orz. Might have to grind a bit to redeem that. ah well.

Yeah, I like to enjoy the game and their stories.

It was SUPER cute! I brought the two of them throughout the mission and they called each other Kadan and Amatus and the Trespasser epilogue slides just made it even more precious. I'm hoping by choosing the "Dorian stayed with the Inquisition" in DA Keep has the romance transfer to later DA games.

I'm curious, around how many hours have you put into DA:I overall?

I was too after reading that, so I looked; I have 533 hours logged into the game across 9 files. My first file is the longest with 115 hours. I have not counted the Trespasser time or how many times I've gone through it; I've just been reading off the files themselves. If I had to guess, including Trespasser, I say it would be 583 hours in total.

I'm just so conflicted on it! At least we have a long time to decide as we have no idea when the next Dragon Age game will come out. Maybe I'll just have one file with one decision and another with the other decision.

I did finish Trespasser today, so I'm fully done with Dragon Age until one of two conditions are met: 1) The games become backwards compatible with Xbox One or 2) I start living with my boyfriend. In either case, I'll be happy.

Same party-of-three setup of the last three games: you plus two squadmates.
Two of the squadmates include a petite, buxom, blonde human woman. And a krogan (spotted in the E3 trailer).
Play as "Pathfinder".
Tasked with finding a new home for the human race.
Other races included too, obviously.
Squadmates + yourself have jetpacks that play a key role in exploration.
Omni tool is more versatile with situational interactivity. EG: deploy a shield in combat.
Similar weapons as per previous games.
Quality of facial features and character models a major feature of rendering improvements.
Destructible cover.
New ship is an entirely new design plus new layout from the Normandy. Has a balcony to observe lower levels, and see stuff like the Mako, and a "Pathfinder's quarters".
Conduct "Strike" missions from ship.
Meeting room to interact with squad.
Mako more or less identical to what appeared in the E3 trailer. Likely customisable.
Character customisation includes armour, helmet, gauntlet, etc.
Traditional galaxy map navigation gone. Galaxy traversal now done via first person view of the ship, manually flying to locations.
FTL drive for rapid travel.
Markers on planets and what not for guiding.
Main alien enemies described as a cross between Vorcha and Collectors.
During early build combat enemies dropped in via Cerberus ships. Unsure if this is a placeholder or legit.

Also, there's spoilers for one of the antagonists but I left that out here. You can go to the link above to see a vague description of what they look like.

Still, take it with a grain of salt. But every single Bioware leak has been true, so at this point I'm pretty much believing, lol. Not to mention the topic creator over on GAF is legit and knows a bunch of inside stuff about the game.

Godspeed Ronin, lol. If they are going for another trilogy I hope there's only a few romances for the first game. One of the problems with ME1-3 is that there were so many by ME3 that most that weren't the fan favorites just got left in the dust as far as content goes. I hope they start small and continue on like that if they are planning multiple arching games. If it's a singular game (or they end up having a new protag in the next followup game) I'm fine with a larger number like DA:I had.
