Thinking of restarting this game since I never..

I am thinking of restarting this game. I like the girl character's design (love playing burnets) and that you can change your outfit. The bachalors are all pretty cute (Cam and Mikhail are the cutest in my option). I like Ash's design too but he's a bit sexist lol.
I think the thing that bugs me the most bout this game is having to waste so much time going from one town to the other.
I really do enjoy marriage in Harvest Moon games but it seems this game makes that harder if you wanna also be a good farmer (also hate how limited you are on things for each town)
But anyways, what do you suggest I do? I really wanna try and get that stupid tunnel cleared.
Oh and for the ds version do you think it is way too hard raising animal's affections?
I miss how raising animals in FOMT and MFOMT was so easy.

Well, there are two save files so you can keep your current save file and starting a new file in another.

You can clear the tunnel once you get access to that quest. If anything, restarting means you have to put up longer with going back up and forth between two towns until you clear the tunnel? I don't see the point of restarting your file (unless you screw up really badly in your game or you really want to for whatever reason).

I actually never noticed anything different with raising animal's affection. The petting mini game was annoying, though.

Main reason I wanna start over is because I forget what I was even doing on either save file I had.
Plus I've been reading up on it and have figured out the best way to start this game.
Personally I love Bluebell best but I'm gunna start with Kono.
