Question about the Classy Outfit's 15% boost

So I want to activate the fight event before Kana's birthday but unfortunately I'm in the last week of Fall, so it'll take me at least until Summer 8th or so to activate the event. I'm really hoping to have the fight over and done with by his birthday (Summer 13th) so that I can use the +1000LP from celebrating to work for me instead of against me. I've stocked up on a ton of Mont Blanc and my question is this: if I wear the Classy Outfit while giving Kana his horror gift is it 15% more horrible? I don't see why it wouldn't be, but I can find anything about the Classy Outfit multiplying negative LP, so I thought I'd ask. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
tl;dr can I use the Classy Outfit to lose even more points with villagers when giving them things they don't like?

No, no, no! I'm not asking about particular outfits (I already now who likes what). I'm specifically asking about the Classy Outfit, which both the site and the Oracle will tell you gives you a 15% boost when talking or gifting. Now, my question is this: when you give a DISLIKE or a HORROR gift, which lower their overall affection, can you lose even MORE points by wearing the Classy Outfit?Angelic wrote:I.... wh-what...? I have 0% of an idea of what you could possibly be talking about. You have to be trolling.
But, anyway, no.
1. No bachelor/ette has a DISLIKED outfit. You can't loose any friendship.
2. An outfit is used only to gain some more friendship from a daily greeting with a bachelor/ette

Go to the very last paragraph.

So you are trying to trigger the negative event in the last paragraph? Any particular reason why?Anonymous Fish wrote:No, no, no! I get that you are asking if the Classy Outfit gives the 15% multiplier to FPs received, positive or negative, just like giving someone a Horror Gift does the same x5 multiplier on their Birthday as a liked gift does. I googled and didn't find anything, so sorry I can't help there.

Yup. And no other reason than I just want to see it (particularly before I have a child, but that's no sweat cause I haven't upgraded either house yet).RedCatfish wrote:So you are trying to trigger the negative event in the last paragraph? Any particular reason why?

And, yeah. I couldn't find anything on google, which is why I thought I'd ask here. Looks like I have some more testing to do. Thanks anyway, though
Ah, you mean when you get your spouse to low hearts. You should have said that instead trying to make it sound like the villages were going to have a brawl or something X'D
Unfortunately, I'd still say no. I believe the item's intended use was as a boost, so they wouldn't want to add a negative to it ^^" such as loosing extra points giving a bad gifr (Also, you should totally post the dialogue to the event once you get it :D It's difficult to activate since you need to be married and all, and then have the heart to ruin your spouse's FP XD)
If you really want to see the event though, you can try just going for it. Wake up, give him his hated gift, sleep without saving, and repeat until it activates. Then after you see it, just turn off the game. Even if you have your child in the middle of it, the event should play out the same way I believe. That way you don't even loose all that FP?

Whoops! I think that would actually be way more interesting than a marital spatAngelic wrote:Ah, you mean when you get your spouse to low hearts. You should have said that instead trying to make it sound like the villages were going to have a brawl or something X'D
I'm actually terrified of testing without saving in this game since you can't save in another slot and just mess around with that one (like in Boy & Girl); you just get the one. Plus, I'm playing a file I picked up last month, after not playing the game for about two years or so. Unfortunately, it seems I originally spent the first two and a half years (in-game) on the Bluebell farm, stubbornly trying to make a living off my livestock WITHOUT raising their production levels. It's going to take me at least till Summer to get the seed maker and I'm at the very end of Fall, so I've got time to kill.Angelic wrote:If you really want to see the event though, you can try just going for it. I actually think it might have the effect I was hoping for, but I could be wrong. Spoilered for length and because it may possibly be really confusing.
Spoiler:
I did feel a little bad at first since the two of them had, like, a week of marital bliss before I decided to ruin everything, but my curiosity outweighs my consciousAngelic wrote:Also, you should totally post the dialogue to the event once you get it :D It's difficult to activate since you need to be married and all, and then have the heart to ruin your spouse's FP XD
