Unfortunately, if they exceeded their natural lifespan while you were gone, they will die from old age (from what I have read). So, they go into storage and don't need anything from you, but you can't access them and they may get old while you are in the other town.
That's why I started in Kono and then moved after I maxed out everything.
Here's some thoughts on what you could do:
-If you are barely started in Bluebell, and only have a few animals, take the ones who are the youngest with you, and focus on raising their productivity while you are on Kono, so even though you only have a few animals, they're producing a LOT of products. I have an excel spreadsheet I use to track what animal needs what treats.
-Figure out how long you will be gone. How many seasons until you've expanded what you need? (Seed maker is a MUST, imo, I'm in spring Year 7 and I've got about 68mil thanks to the seed maker, and I got mega delayed by all the bed requests, and making newbie mistakes) Then figure out which animals are going to die of old age while you are gone.
-Stock up stacks of whatever animal product you won't have access to anymore. Then leave that animal in storage when you move, you should have enough saved up to float you until you move back.
I find the minimum animals I need to produce products for Requests are a Cow (milk) a Jersey Cow (Jersey milk) a Sheep (wool) a Suffolk Sheep (Good Wool) an Alpaca (Alpaca wool) and both a regular Chicken (egg) and Suffolk Chicken (black egg). However, you only have room for 4 livestock and 2 chickens.
So, that means 5 animals and 4 spots. Let's say that your Cow is getting old, so just store up a stack of 99 Milk in your storage, and take the Jersey, Sheep, Suffolk, and Alpaca with you. You will either be ready to move back before your stack is depleted, or one of the other animals will die and free up a spot for a replacement.
-Hoard all your animal products instead of selling them (you won't need them, with the seed maker) unless you have a full stack of 99 and are just selling the excess. This will give you a buffer for when an animal dies and you have to raise it's productivity/hearts again.
How far along are you at Bluebell?
