Can I leave my animals outside overnight?

So I am on Spring 18 of my first year, living in the crop village, and just bought my first baby chickens and baby cows. I have two of each. My question is can I leave them outside overnight as long as it'll be sunny the next day? I have the radio now so I am able to check the weather.

Technically, you can. However your full-grown chicken won't lay eggs unless it's inside.
And chances are it'll make it harder to befriend them. (Though it's been a while since I've touched this game.)

You will lose FP with those chickens if you leave them outside overnight. Chickens are already the hardest animal to gain FP with, I wouldn't risk it.

What they said you won't get FP points if to leave your farm animals out side. However if you get pets they can help you bring your animals inside.

That's why the pets have become my best friends! They take care of that in/out business. The pets arn't hard to befriend, it just take a while so I suggest getting them early so you have plenty of time to get their friendship up.
