friendships take time

meh...why does it take so long?friendship seemed quicker to gain in previous harvest moon games..or is it cause there is no friendship ring anymore?

It takes about a month to change the flower color. Trust me, the game is more fun when you take time to earn friendship... ANB's so quick that it isn't so much fun.

The fastest way to get a higher friendship is giving their most favorite dish which is around 800+ FP
But I think just going to the cooking festivals raises their FP too ^^
I never talked to Ina before and then I just kept on attending any festivals and suddenly in one festival, her flower grew one level higher.

There are a lot of things that will help you raising FP faster:
1) Give gifts
2l Talking
3) Doing requests
4) Attend festivals
5) {Marriage candidates only} Going on dates
6) {Marriage candidates with flower events only} Choosing the correct answer when prompted in flower events
Giving gifts with +300 helps, combined with talking daily, you'll earn a flower every 25 days. And if you combine those with doing request, it'll be more faster. Every villagers have their own easiest gifts (for example, Eileen with Branch). If you give them one everyday, I'm sure you'll be best friends (or get married) in no time.
