In any case, I'm really gonna miss Harvest Moon, but I have hope for the future~ YEEEESSSSSS
What's even going to be more confusing is when Natsume starts using the name Harvest Moon for their own original games now. I remember their being a product placing for Harvest Moon: The Lost Vall on a store website that people assume to be for the localized new game. But if its not that or a mistake from the website, then what is this game from Natsume?

^ It might be another puzzle game, I think Natsume developed those?

They've developed a bunch of stuff, even more that they have an office in Japan of their own (besides their parent company, which doesn't develop much any more.)

Natsume also made that HM for iphone that never left beta iirc. But yeah they have developed a few games themselves. But I don't know how close the Japanese and American branches are.

Can't really answer everything and will likely sound like a stiff sometimes, but I can cover a couple of things here, at least.

Yeah, if there are future Bokujo Monogatari titles published by XSEED outside of Japan, they will be using the STORY OF SEASONS name.

Yeah, all names have been chosen. Don't know when we'll be able to comment or post most of the names besides the two that are out already, Elise and Fritz.

Nah, no censorship like that. If it's in the Japanese, it's in the English.
I can guarantee that's probably Tom. Nice of him to answer a few questions though.

Edit: It wasn't Tom, it was Hatsuu!

Don't think so, but it depends which japanese branch you're asking about. They don't seem close to their parent company (natsume atari), but their child company (natsume inc japan) is run by someone with the same last name as the guy who runs natsume inc usa and they mentioned his wedding.

I think XSEED does a terrific job at localizing games and so I look forward to their first "Harvest Moon" game. Rune Factory 4 was done so well, I am a fan of Natsume but XSEED has definitely won me over. I think it may be a change for the better as I have had a hard time getting into the last few games in the Harvest Moon series.

I look forward to it too. Some people are jumping the gun too early and should give XSeed a chance. They've been really kind to us with RF4 by giving us updates and chatting with us. They even play past games (ANB is one of these) to try and ensure things stay consistent!

I'm not a fan of the logo but it looks like they're trying to keep a similar style to Harvest Moon's logo.
I love the logo, its simple and sweet!

If you guys are interested, GameStop listed Story of Seasons which means we can start preordering the game!

And while they have other series here and there, HM was certainly their bread and butter. I hope they're able to find other suitable series to work on soon.
You do remember ANB was their last translated HM, right? XD

never 4get the goddess's birthday message
okay actually i don't think i can forget that abomination

tott was also pretty bad, i remember a few typoes and there was an entire LINE missing from one of dirk's dialogues after you clear the cave out

natsume really doesn't give a « Cow Poopoo » about a good translation, it seems - it reminds me actually of the action replay powersave. there are typoes everywhere in the animal crossing subsection, and hey. while it still works just fine? it looks really unprofessional. they somehow got "football limp lamp" out of "football-fish lamp." i like to think of that as the powersave's <GODDES_BIRTHDAYMESSAGE>

I would like to point out that the answer in bold is definitely exciting to me. I like to play games in the way that they were intended, odd or inappropriate jokes included.

We should all post cringe worthy things from Natsume translation.

When giving Neil some fodder "I was just thinking I how I wanted one. Thank you, Mel."

LOL let me know if I'm being too mean to Natsume, but there are just to many typo's, glitches and unnecessary censorship. I know I make mistakes but I don't get paid to localize games... :P
