I think it's best to promote the good things that XSEED brings to the table, rather than go that route. I do have an issue with Natsume's translations, but it doesn't matter anymore because we're in the hands of XSEED now, not them. Should focus on the good, not the bad!

One of my favorite typos has to be during Karen's Blue Heart event in FoMT where she calls Duke "Doug". Well, it's the most recent one I remember since I just finished replaying it.

@RopeMaidenKirie: Okay, I don't want to come off as an A-hole by teasing Natsume. Just thought it would get some good laughs. :- )
@Ronin19: The typo's always make things feel awkward, haha! ^^

Natsume did a livestream of Harvest Moon SNES today. Interesting timing.

Saw this when it was first posted, but I'll go ahead and comment now.
Super excited about XSEED localizing. After RF4, I have great respect for them, so I'm very grateful for this announcement. Good luck to Natsume on future endeavors.
"Story of Seasons" vs. "Harvest Moon"? Eh, doesn't matter to me, it's just a name. I like the new logo, and I noticed underneath the logo on that banner that was posted awhile back it said "This Winter", so I guess I might just be asking for this at Christmas if it comes out around then.
Glad to see this forum's moving again...XSEED was pretty good about updates on Twitter for RF4, so I'm looking forward to that getting me through the summer.

Can't really answer everything and will likely sound like a stiff sometimes, but I can cover a couple of things here, at least.
Yeah, if there are future Bokujo Monogatari titles published by XSEED outside of Japan, they will be using the STORY OF SEASONS name.
Yeah, all names have been chosen. Don't know when we'll be able to comment or post most of the names besides the two that are out already, Elise and Fritz.
Nah, no censorship like that. If it's in the Japanese, it's in the English.
I can guarantee that's probably Tom. Nice of him to answer a few questions though.
That is actually me! I think I'm the only one that visits /vg/ from XSEED. We all have our own little communities we like to talk to.
Anyway, I got this account back when we were localizing Rune Factory 4 but I never really put it to good use. I'm not yet involved with SoS since it's still being localized, but I'll do my best once I get my hands on it. :9 We will try to keep the community in the loop however we can!

I'm sorry about that! Shouldn't have assumed it was Tom xD I'll edit it. Thanks so much for keeping us in the loop! We really appreciate it.

Thanks for the update then! I love that XSeed reaches out to the fans like this; you guys did a fantastic job with RF4 and I'm excited to see how SoS will turn out.

Nono, she's Hatsuu, not Tom xD
I misunderstood the post and fixed it right after. As soon as I posted I realized their comment could be taken two ways/that I misread it, so went to edit and fix it as quickly as I could. I am sorry for the mix up and not understandkng when I first posted!
But regardless, I loved RF4 and RFF's localization job and am super excited for SoS!
((Edited again because I was rather rude in my reply. Sorry!))

Despite being displeased by their typos, censorship, name changes and such I liked them and felt they were improving as of late. And while they have other series here and there, HM was certainly their bread and butter. I hope they're able to find other suitable series to work on soon.
You do remember ANB was their last translated HM, right? XD
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I personally had very little issues with ANB. Sure there were typos, but I didn't come across them very much. I was especially pleased that most of the villagers retained their names as well. *shrugs* I just don't have all the issues with Nastume that most people seem to have.
