Localization announced by XSEED as "Story of Seasons"

Nintendo 3DS. The first Bokujou Monogatari game localized by XSeed Games. [ Game Guide ] JP release = Feb 2014. NA release = Mar 2015. EU release = Dec 2015.

@Beedle: Wow, really? I had a hard time not finding typos. Especoally during festival or competition dialogues.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I personally had very little issues with ANB. Sure there were typos, but I didn't come across them very much. I was especially pleased that most of the villagers retained their names as well. *shrugs* I just don't have all the issues with Nastume that most people seem to have.

EDIT: It's fine to like ANB despite the typos, but...I think that one game in particular, could've really used a few more rechecks.

It seems most fans by now are used to Natsume's little quirks. Not here specifically, but on other sites.

Also, I'm super happy about Hatsuu~! I'm glad the others are super happy about the work XSeed does~

Really. But then again, typos never really bother me anyway and it's not something I look out for when I'm playing a game. This is just my opinion though please don't flame/kill me for it

How dare your opinion differ from mine! Kidding though. I can't really ignore them ever since I was on a QA team for a game. I was brought on to look for that kind of thing and just never stopped aha... (I do it to books too. Like my favorite author, David Eddings, mixes up bemused and amused and drives me bonkers!)

Interesting, that makes sense. That sounds like fun but I can see how that can become a problem when it passes into more things than videogames. XD

Frankly, it is hard to enjoy a game when QAing it. You can't do what you want in as much as what you need to do to see content you haven't before, or rewatch content to make sure it was fixed. But it did give me a huge respect for translators and localizations and QA teams in general. While I grow frustrated at what appears like a lack of QA (especially as the industry keeps pushing for faster game releases and lessening QA/dev time), I definitely appreciate companies like XSeed where they still clearly devote a lot of time in polishing their games.

lol completely random, and I don't want to derail, but does anyone know where this line in particular came from? It looks like it's from a festival but I can't find any line of Allen's like that in the Japanese version (I'm trying to figure out what he was originally supposed to say, because grammatical errors aside, I can't figure out the intended meaning of that curious combination of words).

Oh, well that's not so fun, but it sounds like you learned a lot by doing it. I never really hear about QA stuff in the industry so thanks for the insight Muse!

Yeah. Everyone is going to have a different threshold when it comes to things like that. For me personally, it's very low and it matters a lot. I pay cash for a game so I expect a certain amount of polish. I don't mind a few errors as it happens to all game companies, but anymore than that and it ruins the experience for me completely like it did with ANB. I don't find them "charming". But that's just me.

I have never seen that before, but wow is that bad. I can't even tell what the words are suppose to mean, it's just......just horrible.

On a side(and short)note, if anybody from XSeed happens to read this, I wish you all the best of luck with this game and hope you all have fun working on it :).

Man... Just found out about this yesterday and honestly... wasn't thrilled at all. Nothing against Xseed, their translations are fine, (though I find that some of their choices stick out to me and legitimately bother me more than typos) I'm just more used to Natsume.

I'm still going to get the game, because it's still technically Harvest Moon and I was so looking forward to it, but it's going to take me some time to adjust to a new translation team.
