I know there was one eventually in sunshine islands, but i dunno about this one

There's no pig.

The game dose have pigs but you can't have one as a pet like in SI.

Unfortunately (as pigs are adorable), the closest thing to a pig in this game are the wild boars found in the mountain. You can't keep them as pets like in games like Animal Parade, but if you give them eggs and other things they like they'll start to like you and may give you mushrooms in that random event (their day is Sunday).
Because yeah. I wasted all those profitable eggs to get some mushroom. Priorities.
But really, they're so cute I couldn't help but befriend them, even if they did attack a lot.
