Ushi No Tane Forum

Hi everyone! Recently after so much work, I finally managed to gather all the materials needed for the Easten discount combo as in the Fogu guide. I did it exactly with 4 stone lanterns (description involves its use in Eastern temples), 10 bamboo fences (the normal shape which also unlocks the other colored fences), 6 Cherry trees (the large pink trees, not the potted ones), a pine decoration (description involves use in New Year's), and a bamboo fountain (the bamboo fountain that makes that cool sound). But after I placed the last one, no sparkles or message! I checked the Travel agency and no discount either.

What's going on?

Are they all in the same section of the farm?
Did you construct them yourself?

It has to be in the same area as the travel agency. I put mine around the outer edges of the plaza, had the travel agency on "main street" right below the cliff, and it worked just fine. At first I had the bamboo fences by the path going up to the plaza and that didn't work. If you had the travel agency somewhere on the west village area, then the discount pieces would have to be there. Hope you get it to work because it saves some serious money!!

I have had issues getting the eastern combo to activate. If I move some of the cherry trees around the combo does not reactivate. I have had to pick them all up and place all them in one go to get that combo to activate. So pick up all the decorations used in the combo and place them all down in one go and see if that does it.

oh yeah, same thing happened to me. you get the combo when all the trees are pink. If it's not the right season, then the last thing you put down needs to be the cherry trees. and don't worry, the discount is good whatever the season is.

...now that I've found another bamboo fiend, care to trade some bamboo? I need exactly 3

They are all in the same area, and I ignored all sense of "looking good" to see if it will work. Still, no.

But I have yet to try the suggestions and I will do them as soon as I can.

And sorry, Ohako but I literally I have zero bamboo...that's why I am a bit disappointed that the discount did not even work. My trips averaged at about a bamboo, very rarely more than that. One I hit 56 bamboo, the minimum for the combo, I then started building. Once again, sorry.

Just to update, I replaced every Eastern discount item with the pink flowering Cherry trees and it worked! Also, the trees were pink when placed but I was in the fall so it changed back to orange after I exited Edit mode. It still worked though!

Glad to hear it works. I think there is a bug with the cherry trees since they change color for the various seasons and it does not recognize the other ones as part of the combo while trying to activate it, so if any were placed at a different time the game does not count them unless you put them back into your inventory. Either way I am happy that it is now working for you.
