Question about Canine, Feline and Wild Animal Potions

Yesterday I made 50 Canine Companion to raise the friendship with my dogs. I drink all at once and I was expecting to get between 100 or 250 FPs with them.
But then I get only half a heart.
So, do I need to drink the potions once per day? How many Fps they give to dogs and cats?
I'm sad, because all my birthdays I got at least 7 Wild Animal Friends potions from the villagers, and I have drank all them at once. But now I realize that drink lots of potions at the same time do not make any effect.
Or Am I wrong?
I know it's a difficulty question, and it's a mistery for almost all players, but I need to have a answer as fast as possible, to return to play my game. I don't want to lose time.
And I want that Panda in my town
PS: sorry if I sound rude at any moment, it was not my intention
PS2: sorry if I messed up the spelling. I am Latin

This is from the fogu guide:
"Wild Animal Friend: (+5 FP to all wild animals) You can make this potion using the Medicine Maker inside of your Maker Shed. It requires Forest Perfume (made using your Miller Machine), Honeycomb (foraged item), Bamboo (from the Land of the East), and a Clam Chowder (cooked recipe). You can eat more than one medicine per day. You might get free medicines from the villagers on your birthday!"
I'm not really proficient in these medicines but I'm assuming from regular gameplay that the Wild Feline/Canine Friend is similar to the Wild Animal Friend. I could be wrong. From the text above, I assume that you can eat a variety of medicine per day, like say a combination of Angler's Dream, Wild Animal Friend, and Wild Canine Friend, with all their effects lasting the whole day. But to drink multiples of one medicine does not really multiply the effect.
An example of this would be the Fish Food, the one you use on the pier. You can actually sprinkle Fish Food on the same spot on the pier countless times or until your supply of Fish Food runs out, but that does not mean it will be an additional 10% catch rate each time. Sprinkling the Fish Food ten times on the same spot will not get 100% catch rate but instead the set 10% fish catch rate! an effect that also lasts the entire day. To get 20%, Great Fish Food is needed and that is a different story.
I apologize if this is long, and I'm sorry for your loss of potions.

Until I started playing New Leaf with my daughter during the summer, I was working on befriending the animals in the new save file I had started, and I was having much success just talking to them almost every day. Sometimes I would give them potatoes or such, but not much. I never used the "animal potions" and already had the black bear and black boar by the first fall/winter of my game. I don't know how long it would take to get the panda though, because I read that you have to befriend all of the animal groups including the ones at the travel destinations before he will appear.....so good luck!!!

Thank you very much, people.
You really helped me. I will try to recover my loss of medicines and use one per day as soon as possible.
I'm really grateful for the attention

Hrm, this is something I'd like to know as well - and surprisingly little to find on Fogu, or the rest of the internet for that matter. I thought I'd test this to see if I could help figure it out a bit. As long as you don't save the game then you can screw up all you want, hehe.
So I made 11 Canine Companions, went to my Pet House (it was the middle of the night as the last save I had was right before bed), and first checked the heart level of my two dogs. Both were at 6 hearts. Then I downed the potion, hearts swirled around my character, and I checked again - without any interaction with my dogs, because they were sound asleep. One still at 6, the other at 6,5. I downed another potion, no heart swirls, no change in heart level.
I reloaded, made the potions again, but this time I went to bed to see what would happen during interactions and make a list with actions and any results.
For this list, I focused on only 1 of my dogs:
Spoiler:
day 1: used potion - picked up - 6,5 hearts - fed - played (+x, +2, [heart], +2, +10)
day 2: fed - used potion - picked up - played (+2, +x, +2, +10)
day 3: used potion, fed, picked up, played (+x, +2, +2, +10)*
day 4: used potion - picked up - 7 hearts - played - fed (+x, +2, [heart], +10, +2)
day 5: used potion - picked up - played - fed (+x, +2, +10, +2)**
day 6: fed - used potion - picked up - played (+2, +x, +2, +10)***
day 7: fed - used potion - picked up (+2, +x, +2)
day 8: fed - used potion - 7,5 hearts - picked up - played (+2, +x, [heart], +2, +10)
day 9: fed - used potion - picked up - played (+2, +x, +2, +10)
day 10: fed - used potion - picked up - played (+2, +x, +2, +10)
day 11: fed - used potion - 8 hearts - picked up (+2, +x, [heart], +2)
* I accidentally left the Festival Grounds before having thrown the bone, so I had to run back to the farm - it seems the potion wore off somewhere in between, because when I arrived at my farm I noticed the dogs stopped approaching me with musical notes... so if the potion does have a multiplier, it didn't count for this day's playing
** when I went back to the Pet House after playing to check the heart level, I noticed that again the approaching with musical notes had stopped... this could mean the effect of the potion wears off after a set amount of time - an hour, perhaps?
*** this day was a Festival Day, which I had forgotten about until I almost ran into Dunhill's stand... I had to linger until 16:00 to be able to play, which meant the potion's effect had worn off a long time ago already
Let's see... between 6,5 and 7, I gained 42 FP + 3x FP. Between 7 and 7,5, I gained 46 FP + 4x FP. Between 7,5 and 8, I gained 42 FP + 3x FP. With half a heart being 50 FP, the potion can't be a multiplier. However, if it were to give a flat 5 FP just like the Wild Animal Potion does, then I should've had my hearts fill up faster than they did now. My conclusion: these potions are an utter waste of time and resources.
Something else I noticed: while under the effect of the potion, the dogs display erratic behaviour that makes handling them rather difficult: they refuse to eat, rather hugging your legs, and they also don't stick to your leash when you move between areas, so that you need to hit A (twice because it still registers the leash as 'active') to get them hooked up and moving again.
----------------------------------------
TL;DR -> most likely, the potion doesn't double the FP gain from interactions, but gives a flat amount of FP much like the Wild Animal Potion. Too small an amount to really make a difference, however, so don't bother.
