Future of multiplayer?

ANB is the first harvest moon game that I have played and that has been for about a year now....I just bought a 2nd 3ds because my daughter and I like to play New Leaf and wanted a network of towns to trade back and forth and sell perfect fruit, etc. I thought, and still am really thinking hard, about getting a 2nd copy of ANB so that I could transfer items from one harvest town to another on multiplayer and that's where my question comes in.....after the new harvest games come out, how long will they keep multiplayer active in ANB??? I don't want to waste my money putting this game on my new 3ds if they will shut multiplayer down any time soon. My game file for Pansy Farm has 11 years on it and I have a lot of stuff that I could help my new game with, like all the 5 star fruits and veggies, wools, gems, cooked recipes....you know what I mean!!

I don't think they would shut down multiplayer because many people still play ANB. But again, what do I know...

They will shut down multiplayer once 3DS is no longer selling or a new generation console is out. So it won't be anytime soon, so you still have several years ahead.

If you're talking about internet multiplayer, you have a few years ahead of you, I mean, the DS came out in what, 2007? (Ahhhh... I was seven when I got it and it was still new so let's go with that kay? XD) And the wii was... 08? 09? And it only got it's internet shut down this year.

If you're talking a bout local wireless multiplayer though from 3DS to 3DS, that won't ever shut down, (I think) so you needn't worry about that. It's a worthy investment either way, I've got two 3DS' although one is EU and the other NTSC

Thank you all so much for your replies!!! I will definitely download ANB on my new 3ds.....yay!!! I still will do internet multiplayer because I like that part of the game and being around other players and participating in events like the one we had recently (the Ninja giveaway). But.....now I can take care of animals, etc. on my schedule instead of hit and miss. Big smiles all around!!
