Spouse not helping in cooking festival

Ever since I married Georgia in Year 2, she hasnt contributed any heart rated dish during cooking festivals. Sometimes, shes the one causing the team to lose... :(

I thought the more friendship you have with a person, the more likely she/he will enter a good dish. Georgia is still at full-bloom flower. What do you think happened?

'-' eh.... the cooking festivals ratings are pure luck. Sometimes I got Howard, Laney or Yun - that are suposed to always get a  - to get a :lala: instead.

usually, if you are joining the cooking festival it's always your rival team having the highest points and idk why
But you have a higher chance of good luck if you participate as a contestant.

I think, it's not only about high friendships. I've got literally everybody into full bloom but some of them still give me the '...' dishes. I think it's also about how often you talk to someone for the past week. I find that if I date the person who will make a dish in the cooking festival a few days before, or give a present to him/her a few days before, and they have high friendship, they almost always give me heart dishes. Or at least music-note. But I don't participate the cooking festival often enough to prove my theory. so it's probably just my luck.

My sister only talks to her spouse every five days or so and her spouse gives '...' dishes even if he's full bloom.

p.s. I remembered when I dated Laney and talked to Howard and both of them gave heart-rated dishes and then my emulator crashed and I had to repeat with stupid Cam and Jessica, both I basically ignored. They gave decent dishes that didn't win. My rival team had 3 heart dishes...

Hah, friendship helps, but each character seems to have their own cooking ability. If I remember, Georgia sucks, along with Cam and Cheryl. Howard, Laney, and Jessica cooked great I think. Ash was a so-so cook if I remember. Ect.

Meanwhile in Konohana Ying sucks and always seems to be on the team XD So does Kana, but he was rare for me. Yun and Ayame were amazing cooks, and Hiro and Nori usually scored well as well.

So it's all luck who's on your team :X Even when I had everyone at full bloom and had the best dish in the game, I'd still lose when my team was Ying and Yun against Howard, Jessica, and Laney. Just because of luck of the draw.

I usually got me, Ayame/Hiro and Ying. Bluebell seems to have better cooks lol.

The dish you enter must have a high stamina recovery. When I go to the cooking festival I bring the same dish every time. For salad, pasta salad. For soup, I couldn't win until I could make corn soup. Main dish I bring tempura udon and dessert is always fruit parfait. All of these are the highest stamina recovery in their group. I win every time but not always with the soup. I also read the guide http://fogu.com/hm10/festivals_and_even ... stival.php
