There is a whole thread for Tale of Two Towns you know ? ToT is tree of tranquility, not Tale of Two Towns
I say it's good! If you like the good guys or the good girls type of bachelors, then this is the game for you. If you don't mind lack of plot but decent character backgrounds, it's a good game. The graphics are nice.
If you aren't patient enough to upgrade things (it takes more than eight years to upgrade EVERYTHING), then it's not the game for you.
If you can wait for the mine to be unlocked (it takes years), then it's good.
If you like having money fast, then ToTT is totally great!
the layout of Tale of Two Towns is gooood. You don't have to spend too much time farming, because this game has trenches to make watering easier.

Thought this should be in ToTT subforum instead.
Anyway, I think I'm neutral. It's good, but not that good. I'll just list pros and cons to make it easier.
Pros:
- Choose to live in one of the two towns (and focus on either crops or animals)
- New farming feature like irrigation trench
- Introduction of alpacas
- Being able to go to dates with bachelor/ette
- Request board
- Wi-fi field
- Hand fishing
Cons:
- Only one expansion per season, making everything is much longer than it's supposed to be if you planned to get all expansions (my biggest issue with the game)
- Having cooking festival every week gets annoying overtime.
- Can only save before you go to sleep (ugh)
- Cannot build friendship with your horse
- Store closed during rainy days
- Weather changes mid-day
Keep in mind that the wi-fi feature for DS version has been shut down, so you can't connect with other players. Another option is to get the 3DS version, but some people reported glitches and freezes, which does not exist in the DS version. Personally, I prefer the DS version since I don't go online with my game that much, but if you really like online feature, then get the 3DS version.

I just want to add that I've read that the download version of ToTT for 3DS is apparently less glitchy than the physical version. I haven't tested this myself (I have the DS version) but I remember reading about this online.

It's definitely one of my favourites, but I personally thought the bachelors/bachelorettes were a bit dull. I like lots of other things though, like here being two different towns and outfits for the MC.

I can confirm this. I bought the downloaded version for my sister and she hasn't had any problems.
If you don't mind the request system, the 4 cooking festivals a month and the once a month construction and tool quests, you'll like this game. I like it fairly well for the fishing (it's my favorite out of the entire series so far) and planting crops is fun. The guys and girls aren't all bad, but they are rather bland. All in all, it's a hit or miss game for a lot of fans of the series.

By all means, get the regular DS version, but stay far clear of the 3DS version and its freezing lagging and overall glitching. I've been playing this game since June 21st, and I've barely put it down since (I'm currently in Year 7).
