I've clocked a little more than 10 hours. I started out as a Tailor, and I'll most likely be keeping that as my main production class, with Hunter as my main combat class. The stats work out quite nicely, since sewing and bow skill both depend on Dexterity.
I've also been dipping into the other classes just to get some low-level benefits from each of them. I've tried out Wizard, Cook and Alchemist so far, and I'm thinking of going for Miner or Woodcutter next.

I am currently switching between 5 classes, trying to get them all to Adept. This game is so addictive. I have clocked in 16 hours so far. I am really enjoying it! Mostly a Magician and Tailor at the moment!! Just bought the home in Port Puerto! Spent an hour last night making clothes to sale for the house!
Level 20 and just got to to top of Snowy Peak (yes taking my time). Noted that I could not mine any more or cut any trees (just got zeros when I tried). I have iron tools so I'm assuming I need to do more Blacksmithing to get better tools, or do I need to increase Woodcutter and Miner ... or all three?
It looks like I may have to increase each of my classes as I go up in level, at least the classes I'm using. I'm going to stick with just Miner, Woodcutter, Blacksmith, Carpenter and Hunter this go round. Basically a Hunter with the other classes for support. Next I'll do a Alchemist, Cook, Tailor, Wizard. I also want to run a Miner, Blacksmith, Angler and then Paladin/Mercenary. That will be my three save files and should cover all Lives

it also depends on your stats. when I am a hunter and wear the right gear that gives me a strength boost, I make way more damage on trees and rocks than as a wizard with other gearLeBurns wrote:Level 20 and just got to to top of Snowy Peak (yes taking my time). That's kind of a problem as I really need to have good STR and DEX. Right now I've got 15 STR, 22 DEX and everything 10. I figured I need to add more to DEX as that's what my Hunter needs.Ophelia11 wrote:it also depends on your stats. when I am a hunter and wear the right gear that gives me a strength boost, I make way more damage on trees and rocks than as a wizard with other gear
I haven't received any items that increase stats that much. Right now I'm wearing a full suit of Snake Scale armor that I made and it increases Magic Defense, and the overall defense is a little better than leather, so I'm wearing it. I can't make any other armors yet that Hunters can wear.

I've sunk 33 hours into the game since Friday. @_@
I am so addicted to it.
I'm lv 31, and already an expert hunter and blacksmith.
Adept at most everything else except for wizard, alchemy, fishing, and cooking.
I'm so bad at the fishing system in this game.
I haven't touched the cooking class at all yet.
Maybe later. ono;
I was thinking if I start another character,
I'd work more with magic.
Right now I'm at a balance with STR, DEX, and VIT build.
That way I can be a little more broad with my classes and switch between paladin and hunter.
ouo Sadly, I've only gotten through 3 of the main story quest.

why didn't I think of that?! *facepalm* now to see if the codes gave me any high strength gear, luckily I didn't sell themOphelia11 wrote:it also depends on your stats. when I am a hunter and wear the right gear that gives me a strength boost, I make way more damage on trees and rocks than as a wizard with other gear
lol, another player who's gotten hooked xD I`ve got 37 hours, level 43, masters in mining and fishing, expert in wizard, forging, and tailoring, adept in alchemy, woodcutting, and carpenting, the rest are apprentice, but right now I`m working on them so in a day or two everything should be expert or aboveSukitheFallen wrote:
and I`m not even at the 4th town yet! xD I`ve also bought the first two vacation houses, I think I have enough for the 3rd if I was at the town
I have a specific question.
I have a request to make a Good quality iron hammer. I've tried several times and can't seem to get it. I just got some item that says 'Tool Upgrade'. Apparently it's suppose to upgrade a tool, but I can't figure out how to use it. It's a consumable so do I just select it, click 'Use' and then it will allow me to select a hammer? I just don't want to screw up and loose the thing as it's the only one I've gotten.

I just dont want to rush it cuz I`m really good at beating a game in record time... so I decided to focus on leveling skills instead of go through the plotSukitheFallen wrote:This game is a trap!ShiniSnowDemon wrote:

I have this problem with advancing story lines with quests lying around.
I'm only at the second town...
but I have way too much dosh.
o.o I didn't know there was 4.
I only knew of 3!
and if you look at the teleporting home menu you see there's 6 slots, each is for a vacation home, so there should be at least 6 towns

One is return to room.
The other is Port Puerto Home and the last is "???"
Am I missing something?
@Ophelia11:
Good to know.
I'm not really spending it on anything else.
I try to be self sufficient. xD
Which is slowly getting more difficult.
