Two questions: How do you take screenshots? Also, is this game super short or is it just me? Like I feel like I've barely been playing and I'm already to Al Majiik.

1) The start button will take a screenshot. I keep forgetting so I should get around to deleting some photos.
2) The game is 7 chapters without the DLC (9 with). It does feel a bit short, but I never thought the game was about the story, but about the different lives we could be in this fantasy life.

also to unlock screenshots you have to talk to the link clerk in the Castele guild office and have him explain screenshots to you :)

Do you guys have a guide you follow when it comes to applying stats?

I've read from other sites where people are like level 37-45 and can kill gold crown bosses like it's nothing. I'm at level 57 and I'm still having difficulties with the gold crown bosses. My highest damage on Paladin and Merc are around 23-35. My highest on Hunter is around 55-63. Wizard at 65-80 for fire while all others are a bit lower.

What is everyone's stats so far?
I try to apply them evenly since I want to master all my Lives, but it's really annoying when it comes to battling and gaining 2 points every level or 3 points every 10 levels.

you can use this site to read up on stats and help you determine which ones would be more useful :)
as for my stats, I don't know the exact ones, but I have high dexterity and high strength and then focus is mediocre and the others are pretty low.
if you even out the stats, you will be average at pretty much every life, so I would suggest that you decide which lifes you want to focus on (you can still master all). so if you primarily fight as a hunter you need different stats to have a high attack than being a mage. you can actually reset your stat points if you want :)

at night you go to the library in al maajik, upstairs in the circle area will be a portal, in there is a book with some kind of spirit who will reset them for 30,000 dosh, during the day it's just a shop, but you need to be at a certain point in the plot to get to it, might need to beat it, I dont remember

but after you unlock the option to start collecting and spending lunares coins you can buy a mirror which does it for free, I`ve stopped bothering looking up stats since I got it xD every time I want to do something else I just reset and put them in the spots I need, buuuuut I haven't touched the game in days so.... ya... >_>

yep, I'm not so sure either, but I'm pretty sure you have to at least beat the Al Majiik story part and then afterwards talk to Demona in the library and then either after that or maybe you get a letter ... maybe someone else here knows :)
edit: quote from wiki
In post-game the player will receive a letter from Damien stating he has unsealed the Repository of Forbidden Books underneath the Library Al Maajik. To enter the Repository of Forbidden Books the player needs to travel to the Library Al Maajik and step over the magic circle on the top floor.

That's interesting. I'll take a look when I get back to it. I'm quite close to beating the game, but I'll check it out first and if it's not there, then I'll beat the game and try again. I never go for the storyline straight-up, I try to complete as much as my other Life requests until I feel the need to move on. Probably why my level is so high compared to other people that don't like to grind even if my stats are a little screwy.

so reading up on the wiki-page, the Tome of Shadows is also selling stuff (like all kinds of mana and some upgrade stones)
Tome of Shadows is post-game NPC shopkeeper who deals mainly with alchemy crafting items, it also sells tools and clothing.
At night the Tome of Shadows will reset the player's Stat Points for 30000 Dosh.
The Tome of Shadows has a tendency to define words in a dictionary-like style.

Well, I got that "portal" unlocked after beating the main story so I'll check it out later.

I have two other questions, one very annoying and the other mildly curious.

For the annoying question, is the ornamental carp only found in one location and that's on the bridge in front of the waterfall at West Castele? I've had this request from day one and never caught it. Is it not located anywhere else in Castele?

Curious question, when partying with in-game allies, what is the maximum level you can raise them to? I have Odin in my party for who knows how long and he seems to be sitting at level 65 for quite some time. I recently added the Dragonslayer to my party and he's also sitting at level 65. Is level 65 the highest NPC allies can get to? Also, if I dismiss them and re-add them later, do they retain the level that I raised them to?

can't help you with the first, but about the second:
they don't level up while they're in the party, but if you remove them from the party and then add them again their level should be raised.
example: if I were level 60 then Odin would be level 65. now let's say I have him in my party and level to lvl 65, Odin will remain level 65 while he is in my party. If I remove him now from my party and then go and add him again, he should be level 70.
all in-game allies' level is in some relation to yours. for example queen Ophelia is 10 levels above the player. if I'm level 60 the first time I add her she should be level 70. now if I remove her and level up to lvl 90 and then add her, she should be level 100

That's interesting. I was wondering why the ones I commonly used raises in level every time I go back to add them. I thought they "leveled" up when they're with me, but I guess it makes sense that they raise in level to match the level of the MC.

About the Ornamental Carp: I found it waaaay at the top of the map next to the guard to the upper-left area with the food market and stuff. It was in the water right underneath that waterfall. There isn't always a fish shadow there though, keep checking.

If that doesn't make sense lmk and I'll try to take a screenie or something of where it is lol It should be the water right before you head to the district with the restaurants and stuff tho (cant remember what it is called) Same map as where you are currently looking, just higher up c:

I know what you're talking about. It's the only "waterfall" area people keep saying they caught the carp and even the game tells you that that is the only place you'll find the carp. I find it strange that that is the only rare area fish I can't seem to catch. I've caught at least one of every rare fish within their specific area besides the Golden Swordfish, but that was a recent notice on my end.
