Now that I've beaten the main story, I'm just taking my time too, but it gets frustrating seeing the same request sitting there since day 1.
Also, for wizard hero, where can I start the challenge for 2000 stars? Something about defeating Calamitus. And a 750 stars, Forest Wraith? Those challenges are locked for me and I can't find the people who issues them unless I'm missing something.

You don't need the people to issue them. You can just go to the place, kill the boss, turn in the bounty and it'll still count. For Calamitus, he's in the Ancient Ruins via the right and for the Frost Wraith (I think you mean the Sea Wraith?) it's located at the Deepsea Cave.

Oh, I didn't know you could just do that. I thought all challenges have issuers which was why I didn't see any notice for those two slots.
I already beat those Wraiths, I'm missing the Forest Wraith found in Deeper Elderwood. The one that almost killed me when I was just passing by.

You don't even need to be the specific rank (though I do recommend it for some classes). I had my boyfriend over in my game and he was just under 50 and couldn't get to Origin Island yet, but I could. He was a Hero Paladin and I helped him complete the Creator Rank challenges so he was ready by the time he could turn them in. I wouldn't recommend it without some help, but a Fledgling can complete Hero rank challenges without anyone issuing them. All a rank increase does is give you a stat increase and better skills; the challenges can be completed at any time by any rank.

Oh I'm aware of that. Like I said, I normally thought boss challenges have issuers which was why I never bothered with defeating those bosses. Now that I know there are challenges with no issuers, I can go back and defeat them. Although, my chances of defeating them are slim. Time to refill on health items. Every gold crown boss destroys over 50 health items both in food and alchemy.
I don't think I can go to Origin Island since I haven't made the purchase for the expansion pack. I just found out about it today and was wondering if it would carry over as an add-on or do I have to restart a fresh file before I can play in Origin. Could you help with clarity on that?

you can get the expansion whenever you want and unlock it. the only difference between getting it before you start a file or during your gameplay is, that if you get it before you already have all the additional hairstyles and eye designs when you customize your character. I got the expansion during my first gameplay and after installing it I got a letter from Pam that someone new was at her office and then when you talk to that person she explains what you need to do to unlock Origin Island

Ooo I think I found something else out too...oO when you get the DLC, it doesn't just give you more hair and eye options. It also to gives you more mouth choices and I think something else...lol but I don't remember...XD
I found this out from the beaution(? If that's the correct word...lol) in the origin island who will let you redo the whole look and voice of your avatar. Except the changing of gender..XD, it costs 150,000 dosh.

I just finished Origin Island, such a lovely post-story. Wished it was longer. So it does carry over. It would be nice if I knew there was an add-on before I created a file. This whole friendship thing is still kind of weird and I still have no idea what purpose it serves.

Neither do I, but that doesn't mean I'm not totally caught up in raising it. I literally got Odin to 100 with only sending him away once (due to story purposes). He accompanied me everywhere. I love Odin.
But in other news, I am one challenge away from Creator Woodcutter! So exciting~ I find way too much joy in being non-combat classes in video games.

I haven't even gotten to Legend on any yet since each has one that's difficult to pass. I'm still not high enough to bust open the Sinister Tree in Deeper Elderwood. I'm not too sure on how to get there. Is it based on stats or the tools themselves or both.

when you think about it it's mainly just stats, the tools essentially just boost your stats, higher level tools have a higher boost, while some have other added affects
I remember that tree, it was such a pain

Yeah, that's what I initial thought. I thought about resetting my stats, but knowing that if I have to pay to reset, I may wait for this mirror where I do it for free; assuming I can find it first.

you get the mirror from the person standing in pam's shop, it's expensive though, 10+ gold coins

Well, that's just great, but at least I can do Pam's requests for silver and trade for gold. Something to work towards. I feel like this is the only game besides the Pokemon series that I actually finished the main story and the fact that you can continue to play and work your way to the top is just as exciting as you play during the story line.
Besides the point, has anyone found use for the "Giant" fishes? I catch them, but not sure how to implement them into cooking.
Also, where can I get Wind Mana? The regular, not the special "+". I've been killing the little wind spirits, cutting the spirit wind tree, and even defeating the wind thingies in Origin Island and still can't get one. I just need one for Alchemy.
