for Jessica it would be certain fish. I'll list a few that you can get through hand fishing (since I don't know where you're at in the game):

Spring: small trout (konohana) 6am to 8pm; smelt (bluebell) 6am to midnight; small smelt (both) 6am to 8pm
Summer: small eel (both) 6pm to midnight; small trout (bluebell) 6am to 8pm
Fall:smelt (konohana) 6am to midnight

those are just a few fishes, they also bring +300FP each. you can also check which other fishes Jessica likes and where to get them.

For marrying Ash, I suggest the following: Buy at least two cows, make hot milk(milk+pot) every day, both Ash and Jessica like it. In fall, make plum juice for Cheryl(plum+spice rack) or buy it from Yun. Until then give her butterflies like Ophelia suggested. Before you know it Cheryl will want to play with you too and Jessica will like you so much she'll tell you just how useless men are and how everything's up to the women.


That last bit was sarcasm, just in case you thought I agreed. I frankly couldn't believe my eyes when I read that from her...

Give Cheryl pudding and give Jessica hot milk. That's what I did, when I married Ash.
