Rune Prana (3rd Arc)

So I'm just finished Leon Karnak and I'm in the Rune Prana. It's not so bad except this one room that I have to defeat 4-5 fire mages that are behind a wall so I have to use magic to defeat them. The problem is that all of my magic spells only do 15-40 damage and my staffs are no better. Any advice? This part is incredibly frustrating for me.

You can upgrade weapon with Glitta Augite which extends weapon attack range. But you have to grow Shining Trees to get it.

You can also make a spear. Spears have a pretty decent range. They all line up right along the wall to try and hit you anyway. I took 'em down like that.

you could use the "million strike" spell, if you still don't have it, go to Idra Cave and go to the pond at the bottom of B2. Go one screen down, and you should arrive at a screen with 2 purple blockades. Lower the one on the right and go through the hidden passage and you'll come to a set of stairs. Past that is the chest.

I threw Object X at each one, then just stood far enough away that their spells couldn't hit me and waited for them to die. It took awhile for that to happen, tho.
