Rune Factory 2: My character keeps jumping back!

So I just got rune factory 2 and I'm really liking it. Though recently I ran into a problem that's annoying me a bit, whenever I take a turn while running my character jumps back. Maybe I never noticed it or just ran differently but this never happend until recently. Is their any way to turn this off or what?

I think it's a shoe equip item that causes it. Check under your armor to see if you have anything equipped there, and if so, try removing it. If that's what's causing it, that should resolve the problem.
