Ahh sorry to make a whole topic for one little question but >u<

Do horses actually take up space in your barn? I read that you start the game with the horse.
I was thinking of starting in Konohana town, but the barn in that town can only hold four livestock, from what I read. Is the horse included in this, meaning I can only have the horse and three more animals? Or does it not count, and I could have the horse and four other animals?

The horse doesn't count as livestock so yes, you can have up to 4 livestock in the barn.

You also can brush your horse and give it treats, but eventually you'll need to rent another one and you can't keep the old- so it's a waste of treats, etc.
