Well, at least it's not something like a broken system or broken arm, where I'd probably have to ask someone else to do it. I just have to play to the point where I get my data back.

On another note, I did find out that white berry from strawberry mutations do not occur at GS level on dry/patchy soil before I lost my data, so the chance of throwing off my tests due to that happening is not likely.

Vell & Trichorse: Thank you both so much for taking the time to experiment and report the results! Even though it didn't turn up much of anything, I'm really grateful.

I tried for giant pumpkins and got nothing, though I probably didn't try very much that hasn't been tried already. And I wasn't too thorough this time since I didn't bother to plant everything at every elevation, or even do a high elevation test... I'm just having so much trouble forcing myself to play anymore.

HE-3, swampy, near water (9 pumpkins, 9 squash, 9 zucchini in a line)
HE-3 lush turned swampy, near water, 8 pumpkins only
HE-3 dry, pumpkins, zucchini, and squash (10 pumpkins 10 zucchini 5 squash)
HE+1 dry, 9 pumpkins only
HE-11 dry, 9 pumpkins only
HE-13 lush, 9 pumpkins only

No fertilizer, Rowan used, sunny, cloudy, and foggy on harvest days. Reset 3-4 times. I'm thinking it may be a mid-level elevation since HE-3 is the preferred elevation for growth speed, but I haven't actually speed tested any below water level crops to see what they actually prefer. I guess I should speed test bell pepper and red onion to see what they prefer.

Possibly there's only three major elevation divisions: high, medium, and low. It's possible that a lot of the medium elevation crops are like white berries and won't occur at excessively high or low elevations. Yet more testing...argh.

What season was that, Liri?

Experiment spreadsheet updated, working on adding festivals/birthdays to the primary sheet atm and then I'll update my spreadsheet thread as well.

It was in Fall. I mentioned in an earlier post (or at least I think I did) that I grew Great Giant Pumpkins in Fall so I was going to experiment to see if I could find the mutation.

I figured that was the case, but I wanted to make sure.

And with that, the experiment spreadsheet is up-to-date as best I got and a copy of the sheet has been added to the Great Big Everything spreadsheet.

You might be on to something there... It's almost certainly a strawberry, since it's stored between white berries and magical berries in the datamined list. But when you look at the plant, it is vaguely strawberry shaped. It's also referred to as a winter cherry, which would match the one meta hint we have and what bluelily posted about it growing in winter. Many NPC requests are sequential season-wise, and Sally's requests look like this:

1: Strawberries (spring)

3: Tomato (summer)

5: Carnation/Pink Carnation (fall)

6: Angel Lantern (winter?)

So that's why most of my testing has been focused on winter.

Yes it is confirmed that Angel Lantern is a Type of Strawberry Mutation, But wether it is from a strawberry, White Berry, Magical berry or Princess Eye is yet unknown. We havent been able to get either Angel Lantern or Princess Eye from that category.

Way to go Cradlke Thats been a very fustrating Mutation for me. Unfortantly i don't have huge cabbage unlocked lol so i can't be a second confirmation for this one. But YAHOO, Dome cabbage finally Discovered. If you were here beside me i would hug you.

Woo Cradke!!! Since you've got the seeds unlocked (I don't know if anyone else has), could you try and see if it mutates without the other cabbage nearby? That way we can know if it's a cross-pollination plant or not! You're a superstar, my friend!

I'm going to go collate all the berry info we've got into a SPECIFIC thing (so we can see at a glance, which elevations have had what berry, on what soil, etc). I'll return with that briefly-ish!

That way, people can input as they experiment. It's as complete as I can think to make, with each season getting it's own section of all 3 known berry seeds, and if a soil was only test in one of the seasons mentioned that was included in a parenthetical.

Now you can line up your season, your seed, and your elevation to compare to what has been tried and to see what hasn't been tried. No more repeats on Liri's part, who has done the sheer bulk of this particular test set, and no overlap for others trying to help. Unfortunately there were some posts which weren't exact on which ferts (Berry? Super Berry? Organic, and if so, which Organics?) made by Liri or exactly which seeds, so there are a few ? here and there. BUT MOSTLY, it's all complete data info.

For Spring-Summer-Fall, the only fertilizer I tried was berry blend, and it was on all berry types. In Winter, I used super berry blend and berry blend on white berries and magical berries, and a mishmash of Organic Omega and Pure Organic on white berries. I haven't done very many experiments with plain strawberries in winter. Edited the spreadsheet to reflect that.

Edit: Okay actually I missed a bunch of instances. Sooo sleepy right now. I'll finish it tomorrow.
