I had no results from Pumpkin at HE -16 in Swampy with Peach Compost in Fall, either.

When harvesting yellow corn from Sweet Corn, Yellow corn is a fatter ear than Sweet Corn

Err...how do I get images from my hard drive (external one but still a computer hard drive) onto a post. I've got one of Yellow Corn on the stalk next to Sweet Corn, and I can't figure out how to post it.

You need to upload it to a site like imgur.com, photobucket.com, etc. Then you copy the URL of the picture and use the "img" tag ^^ I don't know about other sites, but you can upload pictures to imgur.com without registering.

Okay, then. Here is the image. Feel free to use it Lirishae.

Let me know if you can't see it.

Sweet Corn is on the left, Yellow Corn is on the right.

Edit: HE+1 grows faster than HE+2, and respawn rates between yellow and sweet corn are identical.

You have to put the direct link (the one with .jpg at the end) for it to work ^^ (Don't worry--I did the same thing at first and Cher fixed it for me.) Thanks so much for going to the trouble to take and upload the photo!

So that's what I was doing wrong. Thanks for point it out, it was starting to bug me a little. And you're welcome. You had stated you prefered to have pictures of crops in field rather than the encylopedia enteries, and I happened to get one, so...glad I could help. Feel free to use it as you see fit.

I was thinking back on how we were looking for Titan Potatoes to be from Giant Potatoes and how they turned out to be from Black Potatoes instead...what if Giant Pumpkins aren't from Pumpkins or any other currently known mutation, but from Giant Squash?

You might be on to something there. 'Course, can't try it out until we discover the giant squash mutation @_@ It's probably a safe bet that zucchini leads to at least one if not both of our missing pumpkin family mutations... No, on second thought, scratch that. Nothing in this game has been a safe bet -.-;

I'm sorry I'm not really doing much to help these days :/

I'm kinda thinking that mythical mutations such as Dryad, Teardrop, and Killer Tomato are end run mutations, so Giant Pumpkin with it's Jack'o'lantern face must be as well.

You're fine. I'm able to do more cause I'm kinda laid up with a cold my nephew gave me on his last visit, so not a lot to do. I'm so bored I've started working on the fish list.

I'm attempting to get Giant Squash in Spring from Zucchini in HE-13 Lush, HE-12 Dry, and HE-16 Swampy with various ferts (Barley, Berry, Goby, Peach, and Organic). If it occurs, it may need to be narrowed down due to lack of initial testing space. I'll let you know the results.

Edit: My HE-16 site did not produce any Giant Squash. I do remember that one of the dream sequences state to try for Giant and Small crops at high and low altitudes. My guess, Giant Squash and Giant Pumpkin will be found either at similar elevations as Crimson and Magic Pepper (my preferred growing elevation for that is HE -16), or at high elevations much like Cream Pumpkin is (HE+8 to HE+11). I'm not discouraged except for my limited testing area may mean if it does grow at this elevation is spring, it requires a soil type I didn't have at HE-16 or a fert I didn't use. Also note, my HE-13 Lush site has turned swampy on me. :? It has yeilded the same results as HE-16

This probably isn't helpful--at all--but wasn't something mentioned WAAAAAY back around maybe E3 about growing the Giant Pumpkins? I seem to remember CeeCee saying something about them in one of the early interviews not long after the game was announced.

Lord knows I could be wrong; I have a greasetrap for a brain!

Have to look around. My last site produced no results, just like the other two sites.

Edit: I did find something. The exact statement is "Even some mysterious pumpkin mutations that may grow when planted in swampy ground" It's in the same Developer Diary from CeeCee as the clue she gives us on Pearl Onions. Another site states that Planting pumpkins in swampy ground gives us Giant Pumpkins instead (The harvest Moon Wikia site for The Lost Valley). Whether or not this is true needs testing. There is also the possibility this hint refers to one of the pumpkin mutations we've already found (Zuchinni grows from Pumpkin in Swampy soil). There was an article from back around the E3 that stated that "pumpkin seeds may become normal pumpkins but become jack-o-lanterns when built above ground level". No idea if this was changed, but it may mean that we need to look high for Giant Pumpkins.

That's the post I remember. As I said, I don't know if it helps or not, but if it helps the search for these last few mutations, I'm glad to have brought it up.

Also, your google-fu is way stronger than mine LOL. I searched around, but couldn't find it!

You learn a lot about how to phrase internet searches when you're doing research for school assignments.
