Winter Profit

Hey
Recently just started playing HM again after many years, Im in the winter season and im finding it very hard to make a profit with just fish. Any ideas?

Yeah, it is hard to make money in winter. However, I would go mining. Some of the items you find can sell for a lot. Fishing can work as well.

I agree with the mining. I don't particularly like mining in this version because of the stamina and hunger system, but hiring the mice have been a great help. You'll only get between 2-3 items, but if your friendship is high enough with them the chances of seeing rare ores gets pretty high. I've shipped like 5 pink diamonds, 10 diamonds and 2 mythic stones.

Plus, if you attach your orange wonderful to your hammer, you can get more then one item at a time. I have 2, so I get 3 items at a time.

Personally, I've been using the ducks, mining, and relying on my animals. I only started recently playing again though so I'm a bit rusty on SI. @_@ The mice sound like a good idea though. I'll have to try that.
