so i started to play rune factory 4 again after i got kinda depresed with neverland's bankrupcy, and then started to think that its pretty stupid to say that the series is over (because legends never die) then i started to think the possibilites of a new rune factory on a home console....... because rune factory frontier is still very pretty.

so i wanted to read all the oppinions of you guys ..... what benefics can the series gain by being on the wii u, better AI, etc.... but lets be a little rationa,l we all know that making a open world rune factory ist's no probable because money, they dont benefict at all adn well a big world might get in the way of characters development (cough rune factory tydes of destiny).

so please share your thoughs guys i'm more than happy to listen.

I loved Rune Factory Frontier, I think one thing to make it better would have been overhauling the Runey system. I loved the idea, but the micro management of them alone took up far too much of my in game days. Maybe a similar system, but one that doesn't degrade so quickly so you could just spend one morning a season moving runeys around, rather than every 2 days.

Second would be adding a girl main character, as they've been doing in recent Rune Factory's anyway. It's far too much to hope for gay romances in a Harvest Moon/Rune factory game so I'm not holding my breath on that.

The crop system was pretty much perfect imo, and I loved the monster set up. The characters and their development in all the RF's have always been above and beyond that of any of the Harvest Moons, so I don't think there need to be many changes in any of these areas.

hm, well, there was a main girl untill rune factory 4, mist was the main for RF 1, the gal with blue hair that had an overprotective father from 2, shara from 3, sonja from ToD the only exeptions are rune factory 4 and maybe frontier (well, raguna was searching for mist, so she can be called the main from that game) .

yeah, farming was pretty great in rune factory 4, though i think that they didn't gave the gigant crops that much use besides to get the last recipes on rune prana.

they can improve the monster taming aspect more, also the crafting, i think that if they made the characters from rune factory 4 feel more alive than ever, they can do great things with the newer hardware.

Sorry I should have said playable girl, rather than main girl. ^_^;;

Things I'd like to see:

Town Events, but without the element of randomness in getting them. Maybe have days that you could trigger a town event marked in the calender, and on those days, you could look at the diary to see which town events are available, and have the option to pick the town event. Alternatively, the older style way of triggering events, by having the people involved at a certain level of friendship, and needing to be somewhere at a certain time could work, though that could still get a little messy, depending on the number of events the game has.

Option to view all town events you've already seen.

Rival Marriages between marriage candidates again, with a specific character that will marry the candidate that would have married the candidate you married. I'd kind of like the character that marries the outstanding candidate to be tailored to the candidate (for example, marry Doug, and Arthur shows up to marry Amber - marry Forte and Leon shows up to marry Xiao Pai), but that would be complicated, and people would probably want to marry the replacement. :P

A full set of town events for each rival pair, showing their relationship develop. Rival pairs would not get married until you had seen all the events, which mean that (using the town event control method mentioned above) you could decide how early or late you want them to get married, and won't feel rushed into marriage yourself.

The child to grow up, and even start working somewhere depending on their interests (sort of like A Wonderful Life.)

The possibility for relationships with the marriage candidates to remain platonic on both sides. I really feel bad about the way everyone was falling for Frey/Lest (and Micah), just by talking to them everyday. Maybe have an optional special conversation with the marriage candidates once a week/month, which ends in an option that will allow you to either indicate romantic interest in the candidate, and start laying the foundations for when the candidate has a high enough number of love points, or allow you to keep the relationship friendly, but non-romantic. The frequency of the conversations would mean that even if you change your mind, you could still have a romantic or platonic relationship with the candidate.

Full control over furniture in your house.

Option to choose appearance of playable character.

More clothes for all characters.

Have the male playable character have a different personality from the female playable character. Or, at least, have some more gender specific dialogue, or even events.

I agree with most of your ideas but this one the most! I didn't care for Lest/Frey's personality at all.

I would love for the opening to list different options in the beginning so you can kind of determine the MC's personality: like friendly/peppy, hot-headed/snarky, or shy/sweet. Maybe I'm asking for too much...

Plus a more masculine male character would be nice. I want a character who looks like Carlos from RF3.
