Leftover Sunstones

I'm currenty working on getting the household friendship Sunstones from Nick ans=d Haila.
I'd like to know, how much time does it actually take to get them; since Nick and Haila cant receive gifts? The last time I checked on my other file, it took about 2 years...and that is way too long. I only have 12 more Sunstones until I can finally raise Sunny Island, but I'm quite sure that just getting these two stones would take forever.

If you buy something at their stores every day, and give them new ingredients to make recipes from as often as you can, it usually takes between a year and two years to do, from my experience, anyway.

I'm working on that...but it almost feels like it'll take longer than 1-2 years...I guess I just have too keep focusing on that for a while!
