I went after all the guys that weren't Doug or Kiel. But I rushed through the game and didn't even pay attention to much. It's my fault anyways. I rushed through so bad I didn't even have a good farm. I'm really new to rune factory and it has taking me a while to figure it all out. I'm really confused to why I went for dylas.

Methinks someone doesn't get the entire archetype Dylas is... He's supposed to be a big grump who's actually really socially awkward (and a big teddy bear under all his pricklyness). I mean that may just not be your type. I loooove me some big dork babies.

Well I don't watch Anime or read manga. I only play jrpg so maybe I don't understand archetype.
Dylas isn't much of a dork of even awkward. Dylas is cool most of the time when he it yelling. Doug is the dork.

An archetype has nothing to do with anime or manga. I mean it can but it doesn't solely rest upon those two things. An archetype is a pattern of repeated behaviors or characteristics in people it characters. Dylas falls into the "seemingly cold/slow to warm" archetype. Same as Vaughn, Gray, Neil, and others. Arthur is the typical "smart and polite" character, Dolce is the typical quiet smart girl, etc. superman is a typical superhero archetype. What Icys saying is that it was clear what archetype dylas fell into when you first interacted with him so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense why his behavior came as a surprise to you
