How do you befriend monsters?

I just started playing RF4 and I am tasked on befriending a monster but Idk how.. Any guides or tips out there?

Give them stuff. The grasses you find growing wild, anything you can cook or buy food wise.

It takes a few tries, and gets harder if you're attempting to tame multiples of the same type, but it's fun and entirely worth the effort.

Brushing monsters before you give them stuff also makes it easier to tame them. For most monsters they like what they drop. Certain monsters, like bosses, can only be tamed with certain items.

Yeah you can give monsters pretty much anything. I've actually accidentally tamed monsters because I was throwing junk out of my bag and they got in the way

. However, each type of monsters like different kinds of things and are more likely to be tamed with those things. Other types of monsters, mostly bosses, can ONLY be tamed by certain items.
I've also heard that being higher level than the monster helps but I'm not sure if that's true.

If I remember correctly the big chickens like eggs and fodder.

(these are the bosses i tamed)
ambrosia :big flowers
thunderbolt:emperor carrot
marrionetta:cakes, pies
Grimoire / grimoire 2 : giant gold veggies
Crystal mammoth and the 2 version of it is king pineaple
olive marin rouge emrald : the big version of their crystal flowers yellow goes to olive green goes to emrald rouge is the red and marin is the blue crystal flower (big)
dead tree and 2 formula c and greenifier +
bane dragon rockfish stew
hinoe and kinoto grilled char (not sure)
death wall ice cream
siren giant autumn flower/giant 4 leaf clover
