Can't have kids that looks like your spouse?

Do you hated how the game didn't allowed you to make a kid that looks like your spouse? I remember when I married the Witch Princess and it didn't allowed me to have a blonde daughter which really pissed me off as I was planning to have a perfect family with my character being blonde and generally everyone being blonde. Same case if I married Felicity and have all my family with orange hair similar to her. I'm glad Story of Seasons fixed this and decided to make your children's appearance similar to the one you married but I kinda wished they did that way before in A New Beginning so I could have a perfect family with the Witch Princess.

I believe that in ANB, your son would have blonde hair. Though I guess it wouldn't work out if you really wanted a daughter..

And I totally agree with you on this one.. Having kids that looked like the mother/father was one of my favorite featured in games like AWL and ANWL. It added that sense of originality to your game where none of the other players had the exact same kid!

They also had that feature in Animal Parade in case you didn't know.

Considering you can change your hair color at will, there is no idea what the main characters natural hair color might actually be. But what I find more interesting is the baby's ethnicity. No matter what your skin color is set to or your spouses skin color is your baby is always white. The hair and the skin color thing has lead some players who play male characters to suspect that their character's wife must have cheated on them. The other theory I have heard is that the Witch Princess likes to meddle and use her magic on unborn babies.

Yup, I hated it too. I think it's not that much trouble for the developer team to make the hair/eyes color change depending on who you marry... go figure why they didn't make it on this HM version.
