Do you need to have all of the animals?

Is there any reason that you would NEED all of the animals in SoS? Is every single animal needed to progress through the game or make certain important items? Personally, I'm not too fond of the rabbits and a few of other animals, so if I don't have to get them, I won't.

Outfits and a lot of things you build (like wallpapers) are from the animals that give you wool. You don't have to get every animal. Anything that requires a certain wool, you can see if someone will give it to you, but you can't trade great products so if a blueprint requires a great type of wool than you need to have that animal and have it produce great quality items,

Oh, phew. Thank goodness.
Would you mind telling me how exactly you get your animals to produce Great products? Is it similar to ANB? (Please tell me they don't turn huge, I hated that. lol)

Spending time at the safari with your animals ^^ you get access to the safari in fall year 1 and you can take one 16 animals.

So the animals don't turn huge when they produce Great things, then?

Are you allowed to have more than a certain number of species? IIRC some games made it so that you could only have 5 different species or something at a time
asking cause trying to figure out if you can even have all of them at once lol

Animals do get a little bigger in size, but I think that's only related to the amount of treats they produce.

As long as you have the space you can fit as many as you want. The only animal restriction is rabbits. You can only have 8 rabbits (which made me sad because I wanted a bunny farm ^o^), 2 rabbits to a coop.
