This game came with an INSTRUCTION BOOKLET. Do you know how long it's been since I've seen a game that came with an instruction booklet? XD The pictures inside of it are really nice and colorful. But if the game had an instruction booklet, why do we need such a thorough tutorial on how to do everything?

XSeed includes instruction manuals with almost all of their games. Except for Vita titles. But they usually do Limited Editions in order to make up for the lack of a manual.
However, on the subject of tutorials, how many people do you think would read the manual? I do now since it's such a rare thing for a 3DS game to get an actual physical manual. But I still have game manuals that I've never read. Besides, if it's digital download, there's no manual there except for the digital one. And not too many people would read that either. Also, it's just really bad game design to not have a tutorial for some of this stuff.

Same question I had lol I read through the instruction booklet since it's been a while since I played Harvest Moon (last I played was Harvest Moon DS.) Just take the tutorial as a recap of everything you read.

I know very few people read instruction booklets these days, but still. I heard the reason they started making tutorials so painstakingly thorough was because of the lack of manuals. That's ooooobviously not the case.
Would be nice if they gave you an option of playing the tutorials, though. Do it in kind of a subtle manner. "Have you read the instruction booklet?" >No (And then you get forced into tutorials or something.)
