what to save & who to befriend priority?

so I finally started my game. What stuff do I got sure keep during tutorial week & what to get rid of? Debating if sell everything it house. I already know to hoard materials & 5 turnip seeds. Also who's important to start befriending early on? Also I'm doing veteran mode & thinking to find the whole 1st week to make money then afterwards I'll interact w/ villagers. I'm planning on courting Iris

Save small lumber, lumber, small stone, stone, brick, and iron. I can think of that off the top of my head. Oh, and any copper or silver you find going diving.
Priority to befriend would be Eda for sure.

Unfortunately, the individual villagers' pages aren't up at Cher's site yet for detailed info, but she likes butterflies, turnip, and turnip salad. I believe her favorite is boiled potato, going off of my memory in a different thread.
