does the fridge keep the turnips/crops fresher for longer? or is it just storage?

iirc crops are only fresh for three days(someone correct me please if I'm wrong!) after harvest so the fridge is just for storage

Yeah even u put in fridge the freshness will gone after a couple of day I forgot 3 or 4 days
